Yanke – I agree with your comparison of Medium and Ghost Whisperer. Patricia Arquette is a seasoned, mature and believable Medium while Jennifer Love Hewitt, while cute and I’m sure nice, is a spirited cheerleader. Medium is good, but if I were CBS, I would look at the ratings for “The Unit” and “Medium” and decide that way. Maybe Medium is more widely watched, and I do think it is on a better day. I’ve only watched it a few times, but seriously enjoyed it every time.

I absolutely agree with you United and all who love “The Unit”. I’m a “House” fan, but I think the writing, the surprise story lines, the actors, and the filming of “The Unit” is superior. Both are extremely well written and acted, but Fox isn’t cancelling House yet. The writers will probably give up before they cancel the Show. Anyway, back to “The Unit” – all of the guys are babes for one and fantastic actors along with The woman in the Show. It’s just an interesting topic and present that never gets old and keeps delivering. It’s totally unpredictable. I’ve only seen a few episodes, and I now want to rent / buy Seasons 2006 – 2008. C’mon; CBS has always been about Quality since its founding by Wiliam S. Paley. How can any Studio Executive not know the value of this Show,and in their right mind cancel David Mamet, about the best Writer, not just for Screen, in the World. Amazing! CBS should be ashamed of themselves. This is an afront to the good taste of Wiliam S. Paley’s life, memory and ideals. I hope that CBS has excellent Web Analytics and Social Media Tracking, because they are cancelling a Show that is viewed. Maybe they need to change the Shows day and time. It’s so much tamer than so many Shows. They never show torture or killing up close.

Will miss the unit. Show could have been better without some of the wife characters though. They weakened the show too much. Directors should have stayed with 80& action 20% homelife melodrama.

I agree CBS made a big mistake canceling the UNIT. But CBS hasen’t shown any support for the military in year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very disappointed that nbc would cancel My Name Is Earl. It was the funniest show I have watched in a long time. Now who has any reason the watch nbc on thursday night. Hopefully one of the other networks will pick up the series.

I miss MY NAME IS EARL so much! It was a brilliant point in the prime time week. Thursdays pale without it. The Office is all alone now… and there’s very little reason to be home Thursday night or tune into NBC. I’m going to see a play this week. NBC can play what they want, I won’t be watching.

Why why why would you cancel The Unit? It was my favorite show on tv and I have not missed an episode from the very beginning. I even recorded all of them so my son and I could watch them together when he returned from Iraq. Bring it back please. There are plenty of really bad shows and The Unit was one of the VERY FEW good ones left.
