In episode 12, the one about Morgan and Chuck’s friendship, it starts with a flashback to when Morgan and Chuck were kids, and a girl named Suzie beats up kid Morgan, until Chuck comes to the rescue. Turns out Morgan spied on her doing jumping jacks in gym class. Morgan hopes when he finally grows a beard he gets a girl. The rest of the episode deals with Anna’s new boyfriend, Jason. Morgan sort of skulks around them. Meanwhile, Chuck realizes Jason is a gangster who wants to blow up the Chinese ambassador by planting a bomb in an antique Rolls Royce at a car auction. At one point, Jason and his gangsta friends (with names like Smooth Lau, One Ear, Needles and Joe Lucky) see Morgan hanging around and think he’s a spy. Chuck convinces them otherwise, telling them Morgan is a disturbed individual who’s stalking Anna. Morgan is crushed, and it doesn’t work anyway, because the gangsters see some spy gear and think it’s Morgan’s.

Chuck, Casey and Sarah all infiltrate the gangsters’ ranks at the car auction, with Casey using a knock-out binaca spray on One-Ear. (Later, One Ear comes to and says “I remember you” to Casey. Casey says it’s just that One-Ear remembers that sharp kick int he mouth, and then kicks One-Ear in the mouth. Ha.) Casey wants Chuck to hang back because he’s the “poster child for friendly fire.” But Chuck discovers the gangsters have put Morgan in the trunk of the Rolls Royce, which as a bomb in it. He drives off after the Rolls in the Nerd Herd mobile. But the Chinese ambassador, driving the car, doesn’t believe Chuck and thinks his warnings are a trap. In the end, Jason wants to flee the scene before he and his buddies get arrested. He presents Anna with two tickets to Bermuda, so they can flee together. But Anna realizes she still cares about Morgan. Jason says he doesn’t care about Anna’s feelings, and then Morgan shows up and manages to punch Jason out. Morgan almost tells Anna he loves her, but just manages “really like you.” Then they make out. [IO9]

CSI: New York

What happens to Lindsay when Anna Belknap takes off for maternity leave later this season? According to executive producer Pam Veasey, “We have a variety of options. A lot has to do with learning more about her and her family. It’s possible we may send her back to Montana to reassess some things. We haven’t quite decided that, but [Lindsay] will have a very good reason for taking some time off.” [Michael Ausiello]

Desperate Housewives

Marc Cherry, the man behind the women of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, just revealed some shocking news: Fairview will catch fire during November sweeps—and some won’t survive the blaze. Marc spilled: “It’s one of the biggest special-effects episodes we’ve ever done, actually more difficult than the tornado.” What causes the fire, and which Wisteria Lane favorites may be in danger? The Garage Band Gets a Gig: This Sunday, you will meet Wisteria Lane’s newest garage band, created by Dave Williams (Neal McDonough) in order to get chummy with the other guys, and later in the season, that band plays a pivotal role in the fire disaster. Marc said: “We have a huge episode that we just started shooting where all my regulars go to see a garage band from the neighborhood play in a nightclub. The nightclub gets set on fire. It’s connected to the mystery, and it’s going to be a huge episode.” [Kristin@E!Online]

Bree’s new cookbook and entrepreneurial success has the women of Wisteria Lane feeling envious; Lynette’s longing for a taste of her breadwinning days as an ad-exec leads her to lend an unsolicited hand to Bree’s marketing plan; and MJ’s drawing of a family portrait has left Mike feeling like he’s not a presence in his son’s life. Meanwhile, Gaby hatches a plan to have more sex with Carlos, Susan teaches a reluctant MJ how to fall, and Dave’s motives for moving to the neighborhood continue to take shape. [ABC]

We learn what has transpired on Wisteria Lane in the past five years. Driven by a hidden agenda, Dave convinces Susan to throw Mrs. McCluskey a surprise party for her 70th birthday; Jackson wants to take his relationship with Susan to the next level; Gaby’s concerned she might be pregnant; Tom tells Lynette he’s sold the pizzeria; a startling reason for the bond between Bree and Katherine is revealed; and an outraged Mrs. McCluskey has the entire neighborhood questioning her sanity. Claire and HRG are headed for a showdown of sorts. As Jack Coleman said: “Around episode five, Claire and Noah collide in a most unexpected and kind of horrific way—I don’t mean horrific…I just mean as a father, let’s just say she just turns up in a place where I’d least like her to turn up when I’m doing work that I don’t want her to know about.” [Kristin@E!Online]

By Episode 3.09, we will know about Peter, Nathan and Sylar’s powers and if they are somehow related. There might be differences in the various future time lines, but there is always one absolute “one fundamental problem.” Carlos Mendez, one of the Company founders is Isaac’s dad. Not all of the founders kids are related, but there is one “genetic trend.” Peter will be able to use Jesse’s powers. It is very possible that Dr. Strauss from the GN could have helped Dr. Zimmerman create Tracy. Hiro’s mother’s powers will be revealed before the end of Volume 3. [Spoiler TV]

Impressed by his sudden ruthlessness, Villains Knox (guest star Jamie Hector) and Daphne (guest star Brea Grant) bring Hiro - among others - into the Pinehearst fold, and give him an assignment. With Angela and the Company paralyzed by recent events, Peter goes directly to Pinehearst for answers, and irrevocably changed by the shocking meeting. Later, Nathan brings Tracy to Suresh, hoping he can shed light on the surprising origin of their abilities. [NBC]

Jorge Garcia, talking about the new season of Lost at the Emmys:

Who is Hurley hanging with these days? “It’s safe to say I’m working with people who are off the Island—I can even say I’m working with Michael Emerson, Ben. He does most of the talking—and he didn’t thank me once for that candy bar.”

What about Ben’s mission to get the gang back to the Island? “I think Hurley is leaning toward regret of having gone off the Island, but I don’t think he’s at the point where he wants to go back, just yet. But it does seem that the Island is pulling us back, some way or another.”

What about Hurley and the glorious dead—are they still chatting? Said Jorge, “Yep, and it seems like it doesn’t even faze Hurley any more.” [Kristin@E!Online]

Even more set reports from the island-castaway show. Another eyewitness saw Ben and Sun and Desmond together, and this time Jack was there too. Jack, Sun and Ben had the trusty carpet-cleaning van that we’ve been seeing everywhere. They met up at a Catholic school, which may have been doubling as a church. Sun and Ben have a very serious conversation, and Ben pulls something out of his bag and gives it to Sun. It was small — possibly Jin’s ring? And then Desmond shows up and they all go inside the building. Sun had her gun the whole time. Everybody seemed pretty friendly with Ben. Sources speculate this means Desmond has to go back to the island with the Oceanic Six. [BuddyTV]

Prison Break

Fox told producer Twentieth Television that they only needed 16 episodes this season instead of the originally-agreed-upon 22. A bible salesman who comes to the door of Rita’s house as she’s being held hostage by T-Bag, he’s an earnest, devout young man who is going door to door with his bibles, clearly on a mission. Unfortunately, T-Bag thinks he’s an agent for The Company, and Ralph is stunned and terrified to find himself beaten up and tied up on the floor of Rita’s living room. Literally quivering with fear, Ralph finally convinces T-Bag that he is, in fact, just a lowly bible salesman; however, the joke turns out to be on T-Bag. Ivan: This offbeat, charactery desk clerk at a downtown fleabag hotel in his early 30s to late 40s is a fastidious, slightly fussy man who takes $300 in bribes from Sara and Sucre in exchange for info on Gretchen and Self — whom he immediately calls to warn them. Man/Doctor: In his 40s. This doctor working for The Company examines Michael and tells Pad Man his diagnosis. [Spoiler TV]

Bryan Fuller talking about Molly Shannon returning to the show: “We actually had a way to have an arc with her in the first part of the season, and then we were debating on if we should we kill her character off, and then we thought, no let’s wait and hopefully she’ll be available to do the show again, because she just fit right in with the cast.” [Kristin@E!Online]
