Better Off Ted

In the ninth episode “Beating a Dead Workforce,” Ted plans to surprise Gordon Jenkins, an overworked Veridian employee, with a cake as appreciation for all his hard work. But Jenkins has passed away overnight at desk. Veronica gives an inspirational speech at Jenkins’ memorial service. The employees are moved to work even harder and Jenkins becomes a folk hero at Veridian. We’ll meet April, a pretty young scientist, and Perry, a “cool dude” from accounting, who both listen to Lem’s fake stories about how close he was to Jenkins. (SpoilerTV)

Brennan’s investigation of the curator sheds new light on the life of the Egyptian royal, turning their case into one of historic proportions. Meanwhile, Brennan goes on a date with Booth’s supervisor and former intern and Sweets’ girlfriend Daisy Wick (guest star Gallo) returns to the Jeffersonian. (Fox)

Castle

Though Beckett has forgiven Castle for nosing around into Beckett’s mother’s murder, the unsolved case will continue to have a presence. “There’s not going to be a little bit every episode that you have to tune in for, but there will be an episode or two coming up where we lay it flat and deal [with it],” Nathan Fillion says. And will it be resolved? “[We'll] maybe flirt with it for a while and head toward it pretty strong toward the end of this season,” Stana Katic says. (TV Guide)

Chuck

Bryce Larkin may or may not be returning from the dead, but we’ll probably see more of him in flashback sequences, says actor Matt Bonner. (ChuckTV)

In episode 8, “Chuck Vs. The Nose,” Chuck has to impersonate Frankie, a sharpshooting chameleon and the worst kind of assassin. Chuck has some trouble convincing the Goodfellas-esque Matt and Scotty, two thugs, but finally wins them over. (ChuckTV)

Dominic Monaghan will turn up briefly next week. (Michael Ausiello)

Episode 1.05 – Gimme Some Truth – Airing October 22, 2009

Meanwhile, Janis wonders how her flashforward will affect her current romantic relationship, and Olivia receives an anonymous message relating to Mark’s flashforward. (ABC)

Dominic Monaghan talking a bout introducing his character Simon, the actor went on: “Simon is one of the smartest guys in the western world. He’s just one of those, in quotation marks, “brilliant guys,” which brings with it all sorts of ramifications.” Being smart does have its consequences. “He’s kind of obsessive-compulsive, he doesn’t like to be touched, he has no way of interacting with humans on a level that makes sense,” Monaghan said. “He lacks tact and diplomacy, he’s incredibly impatient, and he likes very fast cars and fast women.” (Buddy TV)

Friday Night Lights

Landry gets redistricted to East Dillon, and Julie decides to transfer to East Dillon for various reasons. (Watch With Kristin)

Show runner Jason Katims talking about Riggins staying in Dillon: “One of the things we’ve always talked about for Tim is he might be a guy who winds up in Dillon for life but not necessarily in a sad way or tragic way. That’s one of the notions that I’ve always liked, was the idea that maybe at the end of the show he might be one of the few people who end up in Dillon, but not in the way that ‘He never got out of the small town,’ but more in a way that ‘He loves that town and wants to embrace it.’ That’s partly the direction we’re going in.” (Watch With Kristin)

Show runner Jason Katims talking about Lyla returning: “She comes back for at least two episodes this year, so far, visiting from college. We will watch as she and Tim sort of rekindle their relationship and try to figure out what to do about that. The two of them have, in one way, really moved on, but once they see each other, they maybe realize it’s not so easy to move on.” (Watch With Kristin)

Show runner Jason Katims talking about Riggins helping Coach Taylor with the Dillon Lions: “He’s helping out Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler). Coach has his hands full with this new team—the Lions are striving for mediocrity. Tim feels for Coach and helps him out with the team as much as he can. Tim also has a job now, working with his brother, but as much as he can, he’s trying to help that team find some way to help the Lions coalesce.” (Watch With Kristin)

Show runner Jason Katims talking about if we will see the Dillon Lions play: “We will absolutely see them play football, they might not play quite as well as the Panthers, but we will see them play. We will follow their season; that will be the show this year.” (Watch With Kristin)

Show runner Jason Katims talking about which side Buddy Garrity (Brad Leland) chooses: “Buddy certainly starts out a Panther—but things happen along the way that make him question his allegiance to the Panthers. Are they still the Panthers at all? And he also has a deep friendship and bond with Coach Taylor, so his journey this season is about which side is he on.” (Watch With Kristin)

Show runner Jason Katims talking about the tension between Coach Taylor and Tami: “The split definitely creates some tense moments between them. The thing that I love so much about Coach and Tami, as they’ve been realized by Kyle and Connie, is what a beautiful relationship they have and how well they overcome obstacles. What’s fun for us as writers is try to throw as many things at them to watch them emerge with their marriage intact. We try to find new things to throw at them. We knew Coach was moving to this new school, so we decided to keep Tami at West Dillon and to have that be a story point throughout the season for these two people who are in these two very different worlds now and at certain times those worlds very directly collide” (Watch With Kristin)

Show runner Jason Katims talks about Matt Saracen’s (Zach Gilford) decision to stay home with his grandmother: “That’s very much a story this season, not only about his grandmother but his relationship with Julie. It’s a story about somebody who has made a lot of choices about making those around him happy and then what comes into question for him is what is right for him? That’s really what he’s dealing with this season.” (Watch With Kristin)

Fringe

With Olivia and Company closing in, and his shape-shifting body starting to break down, Charlie-from-another-universe gets desperate next week. Meanwhile, Olivia’s piecemeal flashbacks are start to ring a, ahem, Bell. (Michael Ausiello)

Don’t expect to know everything about that meeting [between Dr Bell and Olivia] right off the bat. Olivia’s memory of the event is hazy, and the clues we do get are puzzling. I can tell you this: Bell gives the enemy a name and presents Olivia with very specific marching orders. (TV Guide)

Lance Reddick talking about upcoming episodes: “We’ve got a real page-turner of an episode coming up that’s all about the Observers. And there’s a whole episode about Broyles revisiting a case, a killer, that’s the one that got away for Broyles. That episode introduces my ex-wife (Karen Holness) and talks about why we got divorced, and what my relationship with Fringe Division was in the past, versus what it is now.” (Watch With Kristin)

Glee

Puck and Rachel will soon discover that they have something in common — other than wanting to see Quinn and Finn broken up. (Michael Ausiello)

What’s most shocking is who reveals Quinn’s pregnancy, and how her classmates react to the news. On the other hand, Terri’s secret will remain intact for now — with the help of her scheming sister and an ethically challenged OB/GYN. (TV Guide)

Will’s “expectant” wife, Terri, gets a bug in her ear about a brewing workplace romance. She scores a job that will keep her in very close proximity to her man. (Matt Mitovich)

Gossip Girl

The November 9 episode will feature three major characters having sex. At the same time. In the same bed. Together. (Michael Ausiello)

Damien (Kevin Zegers) is bad news. If you like Jenny, you’re in luck, because sources say Damien’s going to bring her to a dark place. (Watch With Kristin)

Bree’s not exactly a paragon of sweetness and light. Her intentions are not as pure as we’ve been led to believe. The redheaded Gossip girl mostly just wants revenge on Carter, and she wants it bad. (Watch With Kristin)

Greek

The show is introducing a new character named Joel. He’s described as super-cute and in his 30s. He worked for years with Rebecca’s dad on the Hill and he’s now a local campaign manager for a congressman. (Michael Ausiello)

Grey’s Anatomy

Unlike Izzie, Meredith isn’t going anywhere — although we’ll begin to see less of her (literally and figuratively) after this week’s episode. And her diminished screen time will make perfect sense given what happens tonight night. (Michael Ausiello)

Alex and Izzie will be dealt a major blow at the end of next week’s episode. In fact, the crisis is so big that Izzie disappears for roughly five non-consecutive episodes. (Michael Ausiello)

The October 15 episode is a big one for Callie and Arizona, but mostly for Callie. Hector Elizondo is back as her gay-fearing dad and this time he’s brought backup! (Michael Ausiello)

Episode 6 will feature a Rashomon-style story, as a death in the ER is told from the perspective of many characters. (TV Guide)

Episode 6.06 – I Saw What I Saw – Airing October 22, 2009
After a burn victim unexpectedly dies in the midst of a chaotic ER, the Chief and board member Jennings interrogate the residents to find the culprit, as all the Mercy West and Seattle Grace resident defends their actions in an effort to save their jobs. (ABC)

Heroes

In this Monday’s episode, Peter starts to hear (and see) sweet music when he falls for Deanne Bray’s super-synesthetic deaf girl. They even play a cute duet on piano. Sadly, Peter’s romantic pursuits are cut short when an old friend in desperate need of his nursing skills visits him. (Michael Ausiello)

There’s a whole lot of Sylar in the next episode, and it’s not in Parkman’s head. He’s hauled in for questioning by a Baltimore police detective (Ernie Hudson), but can’t remember anything about who he is or how he came to have bullet holes in his shirt. (TV Guide)

Kavi Ladnier will return as Mohinder’s ex-girlfriend Mira, probably in the November 9th episode Shadowboxing. (The ODI)

Claire’s new friend Gretchen is kinda creepy! Madeline Zima is getting too close for comfort in next week’s episode, when the sorority girls come a-callin’. How Single White Female is Gretchen getting with new roomie, Claire (Hayden Panettiere)? So far we’ve encountered clothes-stealing, Facebook-stalking, kissing—and attempted murder? But Gretchen’s not what she seems, and the evil Greek system may in fact be evil. (Watch With Kristin)

Hysterical Blindness – Airing October 12, 2009
Samuel prepares for new additions to his family, while Lydia warns him of the consequences. Claire discovers that her roommate Gretchen may have a hidden agenda. Meanwhile, Peter finds an unexpected way to connect with Emma, who would prefer to stay distant. Elsewhere, a different side of Sylar emerges as he desperately tries to remember the person he used to be. (CinemaBlend)

Once Upon A Time In Texas
When Hiro (Masi Oka) travels three years into the past, he has a second chance to save Charlie (guest star Jayma Mays) from the hands of Sylar (Zachary Quinto). However, Samuel’s (Robert Knepper) presence serves to complicate Hiro’s mission even further. Elsewhere, H.R.G.’s (Jack Coleman) past with his Primatech partner (guest star Elizabeth Rohm) is revealed. (SpoilerTV)

House

Taub and Thirteen are still on the show. (Michael Ausiello)

Lie To Me

Shawn Ryan talking about Loker and Torres. “My guess is [Loker's] attraction hasn’t gone away, but I don’t think it’s necessarily reciprocated yet. That’s all I’ll say.” But, you can look for Torres and Lightman to get a little closer . . . in a mentor-mentee kind of way. “He knows [Torres] has natural ability that needs to be honed,” Ryan says. “She’s going to make mistakes along the way, but Lightman is going to pick her up. I think he likes her.” (TV Guide)

Lost

Rumor has it that Jacob has a child – and it’s one of these people: Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Juliet, Hurley, Locke, Michael, Ben, Bram, Desmond, Caesar, Ilana, Ben, Richard Alpert, or Sayid. (SpoilersLost)

Suzanne Krull is off to Hawaii to shoot “Lost”. For those that don’t remember Suzanne Krull played Lynn Karnoff who posed as a fortune-teller in the Tricia Tanaka Is Dead. She has a scene with Terry O’Quinn (Locke). (SpoilersLost)

Producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof say they’ve found a way, in the final season, to bring back the sense of learning more surprising stuff about these characters all the time that they had in the first season. This new device will lead to some emotionally intense moments of discovery. And don’t hold your breath for tons of extra Dharma Initiative stuff this season. They also imply Richard Alpert will be getting a fairly involved flashback sequence. (SpoilersLost)

You can add Katey Sagal’s name to the list of Lost alums who have jetted off to Hawaii to shoot scenes for the final season. Call me a romantic, but I never believed that Locke’s beloved Helen was actually dead; that whole cemetery scene reeked of fakery. Plus, we’ve all heard the rumors about Season 6 employing an alternate timeline (or, more intriguing, a “do-over” of Oceanic Flight 815), which means that even if Matthew Abaddon was telling the truth, Helen is still just as likely to be alive as, say, Charlie, Boone, Shannon, Eko or Juliet. (TV Guide)

This island-castaway show filmed two different scenes involving Locke on Saturday. One seemed to involve the deserted back offices of Hawaii Telecom, and Locke’s old box-company nemesis, Randy Nations (Billy Ray Gannon) was reported to be on set. (So in the alternate reality where Oceanic 815 didn’t crash, Locke is presumably back at his old job.) But then a second scene took place at a high school, and involved Locke and Ben — plus a ton of extras playing high school students and a girls’ basketball team. Since episode four is called “The Substitute,” there’s some speculation that either Locke or Ben is a substitute teacher — although maybe that name also refers to Locke’s doppelganger? And finally, Katey Segal, who played Locke’s lost love Helen, is also in Hawaii — so maybe the Locke who landed safely in L.A. had a reunion with Helen. (Hawaii Blog)

More Locke-Helen developments – the show was filming a scene where Locke drove up to Helen’s house in a blue Chevy van in a wheelchair ramp. And an observer gathered that there was about to be an unpleasant scene between the two former lovers. (Hawaii Weblog)

Also, we’ve been wondering when we’d see Matthew Fox and company filming some scenes where they’re still wearing their Dhama jumpsuits, following on from the events of the previous season finale. And now one eyewitness has spotted a jumpsuited Fox, plus Evangeline Lilly, filming a scene with John Hawkes, who’s joined the cast as corporate spokesperson Lennon, plus the long lost flight attendant Cindy, played by Kimberly Joseph. There were also a ton of extras in ragged clothes. They were filming a set at the Temple. Also around later on were Daniel Dae Kim and Jorge Garcia. (Hawaii Blog)

Another set report involved a scene where Sun, Frank, Ilana and Ben are walking along with Locke’s dead body – apparently a continuation of the season finale, coming right after the events at the Four-Toed Statue. They walked back by the remains of the castaways’ camp, including Mr. Eko’s church. (Lyly Ford)

Mercy

Episode 1.05 – The Last Thing I Said – Synopsis
As her secret affair with Dr. Sands (James Tupper) rapidly becomes less and less secret, Veronica (Taylor Schilling) takes a cue from a courageous cancer patient and contemplates facing her fear by coming clean to her husband Mike (Diego Klattenhoff). Sonia (Jaime Lee Kirchner) gets relationship advice from an experienced patient and begins to question her arm’s-length approach to dating, just as her cop-boyfriend Valentino (Charlie Semine) goes missing. Meanwhile, Chloe (Michelle Trachtenberg) plans a reunion with a former boyfriend but her evening takes an unexpected turn when she learns some surprising news. (NBC)

NCIS

Todd Lowe, who guest-starred in the ‘NCIS’ season opener, will be back for multiple episodes, as operative Chad Dunham continues to assist Gibbs’ team. (Matt Mitovich)

In the October 13 episode, a new case will force Ziva to revisit a dark chapter of her life. (Matt Mitovich)

Numbers

Peter MacNicol is not leaving the show, but Dr. Larry won’t be around as much. The show reduced MacNicol’s episode count this season as a cost-saving measure. Instead, a rotating cast of guest stars will fill the void at the university. Look for Arrested Development’s Tony Hale in Episode 5 and Kath and Kim’s John Michael Higgins in the Halloween episode. (TV Guide)

One Tree Hill

Alex comes between them [Brooke and Julian], and Brooke receives some devastating news. (Watch With Kristin)

Private Practice

Episode 3.04 – Pushing the Limits – Airing October 22, 2009

Meanwhile Violet has trouble relating to her baby when her feelings about her attack resurface during counseling of a rape victim who is now pregnant, and Cooper’s financial woes catch up with him when he’s asked to help buy out Naomi’s share of the practice. (ABC)

Smallville

Oliver will meet the bad guy version of the Green Arrow (a.k.a. the Dark Archer) in episode 10. (Michael Ausiello)

Episode 5 – Roulette
Oliver (Justin Hartley) is drugged and kidnapped by a woman named Victoria AKA Roulette (guest star Steph Song), who tells Oliver that he’s involved in a dangerous game and must fight for his life. After Victoria shows up dead and Oliver is arrested by the police, he turns to Chloe (Allison Mack) for help. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) berates Clark (Tom Welling) for not telling her about Oliver’s suicide attempt. (The CW)

Sons of Anarchy

Tara’s not done yet with the stupid slut [who was hitting on Jax]. (Watch With Kristin)

Gemma’s going to be wicked pissed when someone gives away her dirty secret, and as much as we all love Charming, the action (and the gang) are going to leave town for a while. (Watch With Kristin)

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Here’s what happens in Friday’s new episode:
After outwitting his Jedi foes and escaping with the Holocron, bounty hunter Cad Bane sets into motion the next stage of his nefarious assignment: to find Force-sensitive younglings and take them to Mustafar for Sith training. But Bane is merely the instrument of evil, a deadly distraction to occupy the Jedi while the true source continues to plot from the shadows. While he has been glimpsed in previous episodes – and in his seemingly benevolent double-role as Supreme Chancellor of the Republic – Darth Sidious emerges in “Children of the Force” as a direct threat to the galaxy’s future. (IO9)

Supernatural

Ever wonder what would happen if Sam and Dean got trapped inside an episode of Grey’s Anatomy? You’ll find out in episode 8! (Michael Ausiello)

In an upcoming episode, Sam and Dean are going to a Supernatural fan convention. (Watch With Kristin)

The Forgotten

The Forgotten Network investigates the mysterious killing of a John Doe found buried at a local vacation spot, and the only clue appears to be a stray dog standing vigil over his owner’s grave. The Mentalist

In an upcoming episode Lisbon is accused of murdering a paroled pedophile she put away a few years back. (TV Guide)

Amanda Righetti says that things are looking great for Rigsby and Van Pelt: “I think they’re going to hook up. There’s definitely a lot of flirtation in the first few episodes.” (Watch With Kristin)

We see how the triangle got created, and how they became vampires. It’s a big episode.” (Michael Ausiello)
