Michael Trevino has landed the role of Ozzie, a new student at West Beverly. [TV Guide]
Bones
David Boreanaz talking about Bones and his brother Jared, “I know she goes on a date with him (Jared), and it doesn’t go too well. It’s not that I really struggle with it. I think I’m more or less struggling with the kind of person he is and how he would end up getting her, maybe, into trouble.” [Kristin@E!Online]
When skeletal remains are found in the Chesapeake Bay, Brennan and Booth are on the case to investigate. With only the upper torso of the victim intact, the team has little to work from besides the remnants of the victim’s breast implants. Brennan and Booth are led to a small church community in Maryland where the victim was a pastor, but they have no record of her existence prior to moving to the small town five years prior. When the victim’s lower half is discovered, the team realizes their initial assumptions about the victim may not be correct. As Sweets lends insight to the victim’s psychological state and Brennan’s latest grad student adds his own offbeat observations, the team must decipher who would have wanted her dead. From possible love interests to her family to the parishioners at the church where she was a pastor, the anatomy of the case is very misleading. [Fox]
Brothers and Sisters
In Sunday’s premiere, a member of the Walker clan discovers that the former sibs are dating and blackmails Justin with the info! Later in the season, Kevin starts to feel his biological clock ticking, Saul gets an architect boyfriend, and Kitty goes on The View – all in exactly that order. [Michael Ausiello]
Holly takes her authority at Ojai Foods too far and pushes Saul and Sarah to their limits. Meanwhile Kevin encounters homophobia in the work place for the first time, and Justin struggles with a hero’s welcome from a soldier whose life he saved in Iraq. [ABC]
Chuck
The return of Morgan Fairchild as Captain Awesome’s mother puts a damper on the wedding plans. [Kristin@E!Online]
Desperate Housewives
Apparently, Katherine doesn’t seem to mind that Edie’s new hubby, Dave Williams (Neal McDonough), is married or that he might be a sociopath. In fact, she develops a little crush on Mr. Edie Britt. [Kristin@E!Online]
Friday Night Lights
Taylor Kitsch talking about Lyla and Tim: “Lyla and Riggins are a couple now. In the first three episodes, we’re just trying to figure out how this is going to work. It’s Tim Riggins, though, so you can understand why she’s apprehensive. There’s a bit of convincing going on; it’s just a give-and-take. You really do see how these guys are close, but at the same time, there are obviously some blow-ups.” [Michael Ausiello]
Greek
The September 30 eppy promises to be, like, totally rad. Not only is that the week of the sorority convention, meaning the returns of Charisma Carpenter and Senta Moses, but 90210 Original Flavor’s Cindy Walsh, Carol Potter, and Animal House’s Babs Jensen, Martha Smith, guest. Dale gets wasted for the first time! [Michael Ausiello]
Grey’s Anatomy
Mary McDonnell is in advanced talks to join the drama for a multi-episode guest arc, confirms ABC. [Kristin@E!Online]
Where things are left off with Alex and Izzie at the end of the season premiere are not indicative as to what lies ahead this season. One of the docs gets stabbed and Sandra Oh rants at Meredith with something some of you fans have been wanting to say for a while now: “Shut up about Derek!” [Kristin@E!Online]
Heroes
Claire’s going to be dead set on a mission to fight back after her Sylar encounter. Jessalyn Gilsig (Meredith) is back in the next episode, and it turns out she knows a thing or two about combat. [Kristin@E!Online]
Ali Larter will be bitchy, she will be lethal and she will be promptly hopping in the sack with Nathan Petrelli for some decidedly unchilly action. [Kristin@E!Online]
When asked if Angela’s good or bad, Cristine offers this glimpse of what’s ahead: “As of this volume, none of that applies. It’s all up in the air. Nothing is as it seems. You will be totally surprised by everything, on every level. It’s all about good and evil, and all of us walking that strange line between good and evil, and who is going to going to fall into the good category, and who is going to fall into the bad—and really stay there. It’s a balancing act through the entire volume, and it’s so good.” [Kristin@E!Online]
The reason Bob spent the entire episode (two scenes) sitting in a chair was that his portrayer, Stephen Tobolowsky, broke his neck horse riding in Iceland. He had to shoot all his scenes in the chair looking face forward. He took his neck brace off only when the cameras were rolling. Thanks to Sylar’s handiwork, Tobolowsky’s injury is not expected to have any further impact on production. [Michael Ausiello]
House
In the fifth episode 13 kisses another woman. Executive Producer Katie Jacobs talking about 13: “Even before the House and Cuddy kiss, Thirteen is on a little bit of a spiral,” Jacobs teased. “She has Huntington’s. And when you don’t know how many years you have left to live, you might exhibit some reckless, risk-taking behavior. And she doesn’t express it through her work, but after hours, she’s leading quite a life. Thirteen’s sexual involvement with this woman is not really about this other woman,” she explains. “It’s about Thirteen’s reckless behavior. It’s not the first time she’s done it, and it won’t be the last time.” [Michael Ausiello]
There’s a lot of other great stuff this season: There is a hostage situation at one point; we’ll learn a little bit more about what’s going on with Chase and Cameron, and there’s some flirting between House and Cuddy. [Kristin@E!Online]
In the first few episodes, there’s not a lot of Cuddy, but then some really wonderful stuff happens and I’m very excited about it. There’s some really great interaction between House and Cuddy, and Cuddy, of course, suffers and suffers some more. [Kristin@E!Online]
How I Met Your Mother
After sharing the various ways in which he thought she would say “no,” Ted finally gets that three-letter word he’s been yearning for: “Yes.” [TV Guide]
Lost
Carlton Cuse talking about Claire being gone this season, but coming back: “Claire is a wonderful part of the show and the audience can rest assured that they will see [her] again on Lost. It’s just all part of Damon and my grand plan for how the story is going to be best told. And we don’t want someone to be on the show and not be serviced well. The story that we’re telling this year is going in some other directions, but we’ll circle back around to include Emilie we think in a very exciting way.” [Michael Ausiello]
NCIS
In the October 14 episode, when a pair of Marines are ambushed, the NCIS team’s investigation leads them to no less than Gibbs’ hometown. There, viewers will meet Gibbs’ father — played by guest-star Ralph Waite — as well as learn secrets about the enigmatic special agent. [TV Guide]
One Tree Hill
Lucas is going to have reservations about doing the movie because the director slept with Peyton. [Kristin@E!Online]
Owen returns and tries to win Brooke back. And Gigi, Mouth’s former intern, comes back and tries to get in between Mouth and Millicent. [Kristin@E!Online]
Prison Break
Lincoln takes members of the team to Las Vegas where Sucre gets an indecent proposal. Sarah learns about Michael’s condition, and Roland pushes his luck too far. Gretchen teams up with T-Bag who makes an offer to Michael he cannot refuse. Meanwhile, the secrets in Whistler’s bird book are finally revealed. [Fox]
Pushing Daisies
in what promises to be an especially fanciful episode, Ned, Chuck, and Emerson will – shades of Seinfeld – meet their Bizarro World selves. How bizarre will alterna-Ned and Co. be? They’re all Norwegian. [Michael Ausiello]
Chuck’s dad will most definitely be coming back into the picture, via the touch of the Pie Man. [Kristin@E!Online]
Look for Autumn Reeser to pop up in the premiere, along with Missi Pyle and French Stewart, who make the bee business look downright diabolical. [Kristin@E!Online]
Smallville
Details are emerging on the blockbuster November sweeps two-parter (episodes 10 and 11). Following Chloe’s wedding to Jimmy, Brainiac slowly starts taking over Chloe’s body. By episode 11, he has taken complete possession of her. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. [Michael Ausiello]
Tess and her team perform tests on Clark’s crystal that she had retrieved from the arctic, causing it to send a beam of light into the universe. This triggers the arrival of Maxima (guest star Charlotte Sullivan), a queen from the planet Almerac, who is searching for her soulmate, who she believes sent the signal. Unfortunately, Maxima’s power is too great for mortal men and her kiss kills them. The seductive Maxima arrives in Metropolis and begins her search, starting with Jimmy. [The CW]
At episode’s end (seventh episode), Lois is determined that Clark will help her to land the exclusive with the new hero of Metropolis, unaware that the “hero” is Clark himself. Remember when Clark put on a pair of green tights to remove suspicion that Oliver was the Green Arrow? Look for Ollie to return the favor. [Krypton Site]
Supernatural
In episode 5, Dean punches Sam not once, but twice. And not by accident! [Michael Ausiello]
The show is casting two new recurring roles: One’s a pretty ass kicker who hears voices and seems likely to become a love interest for one of the Winchester boys; the other’s a he-demon whose serene demeanor belies a mile-wide sadistic streak. [Michael Ausiello]
The Closer
When the show returns in January, history will be made – but not the good kind. For the first time in the TNT hit’s nearly four-year run, an episode won’t end with Brenda nailing her killer. And adding insult to injury, she’ll probably end up crushing on the DA responsible for getting her perp off the hook, since he’s described in the casting notice as being “smart,” “charismatic,” and “very much Brenda’s equal.” [Michael Ausiello]
The Office
Pam isn’t the only one with higher-education aspirations. [Kristin@E!Online]
The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Richard T. Jones, who plays FBI agent James Ellison on Fox’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, said that his character will take the job as private security for Zeira Corp., the company run by Catherine Weaver (Shirley Manson) and a precursor to Skynet. [SciFi Wire]
True Blood
The fifth episode ends with a major character dying. (If you’re a fan of Charlaine Harris’ books, it won’t come as much of a surprise to you.) [Michael Ausiello]
Ugly Betty
Betty’s moving on up. She’ll get a new job at Mode working for Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams). [Kristin@E!Online]
