30 Rock
The reason Tracy and Jenna are fighting is because of Tracy’s porno videogame, Goregasm!, made a bunch of money, and Jenna wants a cut of the profits for having provided the orgasmic audio track. Liz Lemon wants Oprah to help with the dispute resolution. [Kristin@E!Online]
Bones
When Booth’s son Parker finds a severed corpse finger in a bird’s nest while playing with Booth, the team launches an investigation to find the rest of the body. They locate the corpse in Jefferson Memorial Park, and it soon becomes clear that the death was no accident. With the help of a new middle-aged grad student in the lab (guest star Michael Badalucco), the team identifies the victim as a local veterinarian whose penchant for gambling brings a number of suspects into the picture. When the victim’s fatal injuries are found to be from a dog, the team uncovers an illegal dog fighting ring and enlists the help of Cesar Millan to help them connect the forensic canine evidence with the killer dog and its owner. Meanwhile, Booth asks Sweets to psychoanalyze his son who he thinks has been traumatized from finding the finger, and Sweets confronts Hodgins about his attitude in the lab. [Fox]
When a shocked teenager finds a dismembered body laying in pieces in a strange purple pool of water, Brennan and Booth come to the scene only to find the victim’s head is missing. With help from Brennan’s newest grad student, Wendell, the team discovers the body is that of Jared Addison, a 25-year-old science fiction writer who suffers from OCD and a crippling fear of germs. With Sweets’ psychological insight into Jared’s perfectly regimented world, Booth and Brennan track down a number of suspects including Jared’s psychologist, his much older girlfriend and his science-fiction book publisher, all of whom have good reason to want Jared out of their lives. However, without the victim’s head, the team struggles to find enough evidence to locate a killer that is, until they receive insight from Zack, who studies the case from afar at his psychiatric facility with case information provided to him by Hodgins. Meanwhile, Brennan scolds Booth for not letting her ever fend for herself. [Fox]

Brothers and Sisters
We’ll be meeting a fellow soldier whom Justin (Dave Annable) knows from his time in the Middle East. It turns out Justin saved his life, but he isn’t too keen on going into details, and that will drive a wedge between him and Rebecca (Emily VanCamp), and it may send him running for a drink. [Kristin@E!Online]
Secrets can’t be kept for long in the Walker family, as Rebecca and Justin try unsuccessfully to hide their feelings for each another and the Walker siblings hatch a plan to reach out to their long lost brother, Ryan, while keeping it from their mother, Nora. Meanwhile, Kitty calls upon her family to lend support, as she and Robert begin the process of adopting a child. And just as Kevin and Scotty begin their life partnership together, Kevin’s career is put in jeopardy by a member of his own family. [ABC]

Burn Notice
There are two more episodes left this season, and we soon learn that Michael is not the only operative that Carla has been running, and that means she considers him disposable. [Kristin@E!Online]
In the next episode, Fiona also introduces us to her boyfriend, Campbell, and the addition of a third party in the Michael-Fiona thing leads directly to a scene in the summer finale (airing Thurs., Sept. 18) that I think is the most amazing Michael-Fiona scene we’ve ever had. [Kristin@E!Online]
Chuck
Two of the best Chuck-Sarah moments ever take place in episode 2. One involves Sarah making a grand entrance into Buy More and then planting a kiss on Chuck, and the other finds John Larroquette’s washed-up James Bond assessing Chuck’s 007 potential by having him perform an impromptu seduction of Sarah. Yvonne Strahovski’s reaction to Chuck’s lame moves is pure romantic comedy gold. [Michael Ausiello]
A character who’s been a part of the show since the very beginning will die in the season premiere. [Kristin@E!Online]
A couple will split up this season. [Kristin@E!Online]
A certain Nerd Herder may be up for a field-agent position. [Kristin@E!Online]
Criminal Minds
We’ll be flashing back to Morgan’s (Shemar Moore) childhood and his experience of seeing his father killed before his eyes. [Kristin@E!Online]
CSI
The one significant scene Grissom and Sara do share in the Oct. 9 opener is rather moving and hopeful. [Michael Ausiello]
Tippi Hedren (star of Hitchcock’s The Birds) will guest on an upcoming episode of CSI as a matriarch with a mysterious past. [Kristin@E!Online]
CSI: New York
Danny and Lindsay’s relationship will continue stronger than ever with a little bump along the way. [Kristin@E!Online]
Desperate Housewives
Five years have passed since Katherine shot her ex-husband as Susan, Lynette, Bree and Gaby stood together in solidarity to protect her. Susan tries to hide her relationship with a new man; Gaby questions her abilities as a mom; Bree is on the verge of publishing her own cookbook as business partner, Katherine, grows envious; Lynette catches her teenaged twins spearheading illegal activities; and Edie returns to Wisteria Lane in jaw-dropping fashion with a new man in tow. [ABC]
There is a party on Wisteria Lane. At the event, something happens to McCluskey and she must leave the party in an ambulance. According to McCluskey, a man is trying to kill her because she knows what he’s up to. Susan and Mike meet with a lawyer in order to sign divorce papers. Tom ends up at the hospital after getting a massive electric shock while working on an electric panel at the restaurant. [SpoilerFix.com]
Entourage
Vince’s bad luck will continue. First stop: Guest-starring… at a celebrat’s bat mitzvah. Then when he finally lands another movie role, it’ll go up in flames — in more ways than one. [TV Guide]
Friday Night Lights
The show has recently shot several flashback sequences that will help fill in the considerable gap between seasons 2 and 3. For starters, we’ll see first-hand how the Panthers ended their season and what led to Smash’s choice of colleges. [Michael Ausiello]
Matt and Julie, cavorting in a lake, at twilight. [Kristin@E!Online]
Landry’s (Jesse Plemons) gonna be makin’ time with a cute girl bassist named Devin Corrigan, but it has more to do with Crucifictorius (his rockin’ band!) than with any romantic canoodling, as she’s only a ninth grader. [Kristin@E!Online]
Greek
Jessica Rose has signed on to reprise her role as Jen K. for the show’s big election episode on Oct. 14. “It’s been six months since the break-up and Rusty finds himself in an opportunity to give it a second chance,” reveals Greek creator Sean Smith. “Thematically, it’s tied into the election, with Rusty having to choose between giving the past a second chance or holding out for something new and better for the future. Calvin’s exploring the same themes in his romantic life, too.” [Michael Ausiello]
Grey’s Anatomy
In the season premiere, there is a flash forwardish sequence will show us what two characters might be up to several years in the future. [Michael Ausiello]
Meredith and Derek learn that “happily ever after” isn’t easy, a military doctor who brings in a trauma patient catches Cristina’s eye, and the Chief and his staff reel at the news that Seattle Grace is no longer nationally ranked as a top-tier teaching hospital. [ABC]
Heroes
Matt Parkman’s (Greg Grunberg) future is drawn for him by an African bushman, and in the world’s future, the sky is full of people who can fly. [Kristin@E!Online]
The reporter played by William Katt who confronts “Tracy Strauss” (Ali Larter) with evidence that she’s actually “Niki Saunders”? Well, there’s a reason he’s only in one episode, and that reason is that someone kills him by accident. (Wait a minute, could Ali be playing a character with a lethal power? Noooo!) Also, after Tracy begins to believe the reporter might be right about her real identity, she sets off to find the doctor who delivered her, in hopes that he can tell her more about her origins. [Kristin@E!Online]
House
House and Cuddy will finally lock lips in episode 6. [Michael Ausiello]
Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) is getting a great storyline this year that is also very intense and heart-wrenching. As you know, we found out last season that she has the debilitating genetic disorder Huntington’s disease. In the premiere, this will give her a whole new ballsiness and outlook on life, which is pretty cool. We’ll also be flashing back to her childhood, when we’ll also meet her ill mother, who also suffered and died from the disease. [Kristin@E!Online]
How I Met Your Mother
Sara Paxton (Summerland) has been cast on the CBS sitcom as Nora, Stella’s sister. Stella’s bride-to-be sister. Except that the wedding doesn’t seem to take. For Nora and her beau, at least. Seeing as the big day is all paid for and what not… I’m hearing that Stella decides to seize the moment and elect to walk down the aisle herself, with Ted awaiting her at the other end of the runner. [TV Guide]
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The premiere episode is called “Mac and Dennis: Manhunters,” but the boys aren’t going gay, they’re just playing the most dangerous game: actually hunting man. In other cannibalism-related news, Dee and Charlie accidentally eat human meat and are suddenly craving it. [Kristin@E!Online]
NCIS
NCIS executive producer Shane Brennan talks about the paper the new director took out of a file and destroyed : “Yes, the paper is significant — very significant — and yes, it did come out of the director’s personal file, Will we find out what it really means? Yes! This season? Maybe. Will it shed new light on Director Vance? You betcha!” [TV Guide]
Prison Break
Michael, Lincoln and Sucre must crash a police benefit to obtain the next card key. Reeling from another death, Sarah falls back into an old habit. T-Bag arouses suspicion and runs into some old “friends” his first day on the job. [Fox]
The search for the next card key holder brings Michael and Lincoln to the Treasury Department. Sucre and Bellick track T-Bag, who arouses suspicions and forms an uneasy alliance at his new job. Wyatt uses his personal touch with Gretchen. [Fox]
Private Practice
In the second season premiere, Dell (Chris Lowell) up and quits his job! His departure will cause lots of disruption for the remaining castmembers, but Chris isn’t leaving the show. [Kristin@E!Online]
Pushing Daisies
You would think that the upcoming return of Charles Charles (Chuck’s dad) to Coeur d’Coeur might solve the problem of Ned having supposedly offed Chuck’s dad, but on the contrary, the circumstances of his return will probably cause the greatest rift we’ve ever seen between the Ned and Chuck. [Kristin@E!Online]
Samantha Who
Sam meets said rocker, and he’s so charmed that she doesn’t know who he is (because of the amnesia, see) that they start dating, but when she regains some of her memories, it gets a little complicated. [Kristin@E!Online]
Saving Grace
There’s a new angel in town, and he’s trying to beat out Earl when it comes to being the preeminent heavenly influence over Grace. [Kristin@E!Online]
Scrubs
J.D. and Elliot do get together in season eight, but the show underplays that storyline so it’s more or less happening in the background. [Kristin@E!Online]
J.D.’s baby mama, Kim (Elizabeth Banks), and his nemesis, Sean (Scott Foley), are back and it just so happens that they’re dating. [Kristin@E!Online]
Smallville
Chloe, who, as you probably heard, suffers some serious dementia in episode 9. Clark, in turn, seeks Jor-El’s help in restoring her memories – well almost all her memories. You see, Clark decides that she might be better off forgetting a thing or two. [Michael Ausiello]
It’s Clark’s first day at the Daily Planet with Lois, and the pair are immediately thrown together on a story when a bus explodes outside the office. Clark rescues Bette (guest star Jessica Parker Kennedy), a young girl who bonds with Chloe over their shared meteor abilities, but Bette is hiding a big secret. Paramedic Davis Bloom arrives in Metropolis and is drawn to Chloe. [The CW]
Supernatural
We’ll be meeting two angels this season on Supernatural, but they aren’t pretty babies like the ones on your refrigerator magnet: Castiel and his partner Uriel are badass seraphim. Both characters will be recurring, but look for more trouble from Uriel, who is not a fan of the human race in general and who doesn’t want Sam and Dean succeeding in particular. [Kristin@E!Online]
Sam and Dean are stunned when the spirits of Meg (guest star Nikki Aycox) and Agent Henricksen (guest star C. Malik Whitfield) appear and accuse the Winchesters of failing them. Although rattled, the brothers must pull together to save Bobby, who is too crippled with guilt to fight off the angry ghosts of the young children he couldn’t save. [The CW]
The Game
Penny Marshall has been cast as Rick Fox’s overprotective yet loving mother in the Oct. 31 episode. Mom apparently tries to take credit for all the great things Rick has done with his life – including playing for the Lakers. [Michael Ausiello]
The Office
Rumor has it that something momentous (and long overdue) takes place between Jim and Pam during a torrential downpour. [Michael Ausiello]
Jim and Pam will be just fine and are still very much a part of each other’s lives this season (at the very least for the first five or so episodes). I’m hearing something about use of the “world’s smallest Bluetooth” keeping them constantly connected as they go about their separate days. [Kristin@E!Online]
The Unit
The September 28 premiere centers on an assassination plot aimed at five of the highest members of the government, including the president elect (The Shield’s Benito Martinez). The episode marks the introduction of new D.O.D. intelligence officer Bridget Sullivan (played by newcomer Nicole Steinwedell), who ends up playing a critical role in helping Dennis Haysbert and his team save the president. Meanwhile, look for the wives’ storyline to be profoundly altered this season, and a major, potentially lethal development with Mack and Tiffy involving some incriminating photographs. [Michael Ausiello]
Without A Trace
Steven Weber has only signed on for four episodes, so he’s definitely not replacing LaPaglia. Rather, their characters will be adversaries. [TV Guide]
