90210

Ryan Eggold (Ryan Matthews) talking about the new season: “The fun thing about season two is that all the relationships from season one have time to become more exciting and more gray; they are less defined,” he said. “I know that I have another love triangle. I’m constantly stuck in those. This one is with a student and a new female character.” (Watch With Kristin)

Bones

In the season premiere, Booth says those three little words…and Brennan says them back. Does it stick? You’ll have to tune in September 17 to find out. (Watch With Kristin)

Booth will demonstrate some pretty strong feelings for Bones right off the bat . . . and they might not be good. (TV Guide)

Chuck

Kristin Kreuk is joining Chuck for multiple episodes as Hannah, a girl Chuck meets on a flight to Paris. Chuck and Hannah definitely have feelings for each other. Laid off from her glamorous publishing job, Hannah ends up working at the Buy More. (Michael Ausiello)

Chuck won’t be the only Buy More employee crushing on the new girl [ Kristin Kreuk]. Morgan will develop semi-serious feelings for her, too. (Michael Ausiello)

When the new season picks up, it’s right after the end of the previous season, so Chuck is still new to his abilities. And Morgan is in Hawaii working on becoming a hibachi chef, so the Buy More is firmly in the grip of Emmett, and things aren’t going that well without Morgan and Chuck. (SciFi Wire)

NBC has confirmed that Jeffster will perform on the show next season. (Watch With Kristin)

Cold Case

Look for Nick to spin out of control after he receives some overwhelming news about his health. (Michael Ausiello)

CSI

Greg will get to gripe about his role on the team when Sara (Jorja Fox) comes to visit. And his complaining will pay off: He’ll get a new job. (TV Guide)

CSI: Miami

The bullet Calleigh fired will have huge repercussions in the season premiere. (TV Guide)

Curb Your Enthusiasm

Wayne Knight will appear during the tail end of the upcoming season. (Michael Ausiello)

Desperate Housewives

Marc Cherry was asked if he will release Neal McDonough’s Dave from the loony bin and he responded: “Not this season.” (Michael Ausiello)

Dexter

“Trinity [Killer] does get somebody that we know,” teases James Remar, who plays Harry. “Actually, it may not be Trinity.” (TV Guide)

Dollhouse

In season two, Victor is still a Doll, and yes, happily, his face will be fixed. (Watch With Kristin)

Entourage

The Mossad guys haven’t cracked the Vincent Chase stalker case yet. In fact, there might be multiple perps. (Watch With Kristin)

In other news, one of our very favorite Entourage twosomes is heading for a blowout – it’s Lloyd and Ari. (Watch With Kristin)

Eureka

Episode 3.17 – Have an Ice Day. Tess hopes her first day in charge of Global will be uneventful; the arrival of an Arctic ice core brings a new Ice Age to Eureka. (SpoilerTV)

Episode 3.18 – What Goes Around, Comes Around. Zoe prepares to leave for college; Tess receives a job offer in Australia; a magnetic disturbance hovers above Eureka. (SpoilerTV)

Friday Night Lights

Producers are talking to Minka Kelly about making a two-episode return as Lyla halfway through the season. Coincidentally, that’s right around the time things start heating up between Riggins’ and Dillon’s resident Lolita, Becky (played by newcomer Madison Burge). (Michael Ausiello)

Fringe

Luke Goss is playing a bad guy named Lloyd Parr, but he’s not a psychopath or mindlessly evil — he has reasons for what he does. (SpoilerTV)

Lance Reddick says we’ll learn more about Broyles’ background, and the reasons for his divorce, but it won’t be through flashbacks. And he tells us what to expect in season two generally: “Olivia’s reemergence back into this universe will be shocking. The developments with Charlie will be mind blowing. You’ll find out just how deep my relationship with Nina goes.” (Hollywood Reporter)

The birthday Walter and company will be celebrating in the season premiere is Peter’s. (Fringe Television)

Which reality are we in when Season 2 begins? That’s a key question to the season premiere – and, presumably, the entire season. Certain events might lead you to believe we’re “over there”, while others might convince you otherwise. The answer could mean the difference between life and death. And we’ll see Dr. Bell again this fall, but not right away. (TV Guide)

Gossip Girl

With Chuck kissing a guy: The kiss itself isn’t the issue. It’s the general lack of trust between them [Chuck and Blair] that causes problems. And the tension grows the following week when another breakdown in trust occurs — this time involving the bar Chuck opens in his new hotel. (Michael Ausiello)

Greek

By the end of the show’s current 10-episode run, Casey will be in a committed, long-term relationship with either Cappie or Evan. (Michael Ausiello)

Grey’s Anatomy

This season is overwhelmingly defined by the merger of Seattle Grace and crosstown rival Mercy West. Seattle Grace is about to double in size, bringing in a slate of new doctors and paving the way for major shake-ups in the season to come. Dr. Izzie Stevens is getting fired. Yes, fired, as in dismissed or downsized. Izzie gets laid off in the big merger and vanishes for a handful of episodes while Heigl shoots her next movie, Life as We Know It. (Watch With Kristin)

The shake-up also provides cover for Ellen Pompeo’s maternity leave. She’ll fade into the background while new doctors, administrators and nurses (played by the likes of Robert Baker, Jesse Williams and Nora Zehetner) fill in the gaps. Producers are, however, working to keep Meredith Grey in as many episodes as possible. This week Pompeo is banking footage for her maternity leave by shooting scenes for two episodes at once. (Watch With Kristin)

The Seattle Grace-Mercy West merger storyline is part of a long-term plan hatched by producers and ABC execs to make Grey’s Anatomy a viable going concern for years to come. (Watch With Kristin)

Owen and Cristina are headed for a dry spell. In the season premiere, Amy Madigan’s shrink advises Owen against making any further sexy time with Cristina until he can get the voices in his head to shut up. They’re not breaking up. Just taking things slow. (Michael Ausiello)

“They’ve [Mark and Lexie] got a lot of challenges coming down the pike,” concedes executive producer Krista Vernoff. “The most consistent challenge is the one that’s built into the fabric of their relationship: He’s pushing 40, she’s in her early 20s.” (Michael Ausiello)

Derek will get some much-needed alone time. As executive producer Krista Vernoff explains, Dempsey has been “patiently” waiting to get a story that wasn’t directly tied to the Der-Mer love story. And this season he’ll get his wish. “Derek hasn’t been a fully explored character separate from Meredith,” Vernoff admits. “The fact that by necessity Ellen is going to need a little less screen time gives us more encouragement to explore Derek as a doctor.” This includes what Vernoff describes as an “extraordinary medical story” involving Derek and a patient in this season’s sixth episode, directed by co-star Chandra Wilson. (Michael Ausiello)

Heroes

James Kyson Lee says Hiro and Ando start off the new season in Japan: “Ando is starting a new business with Hiro, which will thrust us into really unusual adventures. Also, Ando this season is going to be interlinked with somebody very unexpected, which is going to be a nice surprise for the audience.” (IO9)

Volume Five: Redemptoin makes a special two-hour debut with the introduction of a mysterious carnival clan whose intentions are unknown, while familar faces adjust to new stages of their lives that will challenge their perceptions of the world and their abilities. Robert Knepper joins the cast. Ray Park, Zeljko Ivanek, Madeline Zima and Dawn Olivieri guest star — Claire (Hayden Panettiere) struggles with adjusting to her new life in college when a mysterious death thrusts her into the spotlight once again. Elsewhere, Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee) continue their noble quest to help people by promoting their abilities. Angela (Cristine Rose) fears Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) will soon discover his true identity; while Matt (Greg Grunberg) is haunted by an unexpected visitor seeking something he has lost. Tracy Strauss (Ali Larter) and H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) join forces, looking for the key to unlock the motive behind a horrific crime. Meanwhile, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) uses his abilities for good, but he is soon called upon to aid an old friend. While the heroes adjust to their new surroundings, a mysterious carnival clan, led by ringleader Samuel (Robert Knepper), sets their sights on familiar faces. (SpoilerTV)

Hiro’s doomed love Charlie will be back. And it turns out her diner coworker Lynette (Sally Chaplin) will be in three episodes too — and there will be at least one scene which we saw back in season one, but we’ll see it again from a different vantage point. (The OID)

Greg Grunberg talks about Matt’s arc this season: “What’s cool is that my powers evolve, and I start this year so regretting what I did last year that I have absolutely cut it cold turkey. I refuse to use my powers, and Sylar wants me to, so he’s constantly on my shoulder going, ‘Use your powers, you p-ssy.’ It’s great. It’s really cool.” (SciFi Wire)

House

During November sweeps, House, Cuddy, and Wilson will attend a medical conference together. (Michael Ausiello)

Executive producer David Shore revealed this about the season premiere: “[Franka Potente] is the sister-in-law of one of the inmates, who develops an attachment to House, and House develops an attachment to her, but it’s complicated.” (Watch With Kristin)

Law and Order

S. Epatha Merkerson’s Van Buren will be diagnosed with cancer this season. (Michael Ausiello)

Mad Men

Don and Gene clash over Grandpa’s parenting skills. Sterling Cooper’s wealthy, demanding new client has an all-but-imposible request for the boys. And Peggy’s ever-growing confidence inspires a risky move. (TV Guide)

Melrose Place

We will see a lot of Sydney (Laura Leighton) in flashbacks, and her storyline is a key one of the season. Episode two goes deep into the backstory on how a troubled, drug-addled Sydney ended up where she did in the pilot. Episode two also reveals another side of the seemingly innocent Violet (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) that leads us to believe she could be the one who did the dark deed in the pilot. (Watch With Kristin)

Monk

We will have closure on Trudy’s murder by the end of the season. Viewers will start seeing clues to that in the upcoming episodes. (Michael Ausiello)

NCIS

The show is casting the potentially recurring role of Agent Ruiz, an attractive, athletic, and competent federal agent in her late 20s to mid 30s who tends to put her foot in her mouth. (Michael Ausiello)

Numbers

There will be an episode where there’s a shooting and everyone there tells a different version of what happened. So the team uses the mathematical concept of “Combinatorics” to filter through the different points-of-view and make sense of what actually happened. In other news, Peter MacNicol’s Larry will disappear for a chunk of the season to gain a new perspective on things. (Michael Ausiello)

One Tree Hill

The season seven starts off rocky for Haley and Nathan with a major sex and pregnancy scandal. (Watch With Kristin)

Private Practice

Violet survives! Look for Addison and Pete to help her pull through in the season premiere on October 1. The other good news is that Katie Kent (Amanda Foreman), the crazy lady who did the ad hoc C-section, is apprehended and on trial by episode five. (Watch With Kristin)

Rescue Me

Peter Tolan talking about the final 19 episodes of the show: “I know there will be a wedding at some point,” co-creator PeterTolan says. “It will be a big wedding, and there’ll be a massive brawl that will lead to it. We know where the series ends now. And because it’s really two seasons, we know what happens at the end of the 10th episode, which is somewhat of a life-changer.”

Scrubs

Pregnant Sarah Chalke is guesting in the Scrubs season-nine premiere as pregnant Elliot. (Watch With Kristin)

Sons of Anarchy

Tara’s having a pretty good year—the other two women in Jax’s life, Wendy and Gemma, are no longer a problem for her! Wendy’s in rehab, and believe it or not, Tara and Gemma are growing closer. (Watch With Kristin)

Stargate Universe

The season will end with an episode called “Subversion,” followed by a two-parter called “Incursion.” And that two-parter ends with “big-time cliffhanger,” according to writer/producer Joseph Mallozzi, who calls it the “biggest HOLY #%&@! ending I have ever written.” Because “Incursion” has been expanded from one hour to two, one other episode will get held over to season two — which means probably nobody much dies in that cliffhanger, or else they’re able to rework the held-over episode somehow. (Gateworld)

Supernatural

We’ve met young Dean and young Sam in past Supernatural flashbacks, but season five will include a flash-forward to 70-year-old Dean Winchester, and he’s exactly the old coot you’d expect him to be. (Watch With Kristin)

Castiel (Misha Collins) tells Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) that he is going to search for God, who will be able to defeat Lucifer. Bobby’s (Jim Beaver) old hunter friend, Rufus (guest star Steven Williams), is panicked about demons attacking his town, and begs Bobby for help. Sam and Dean arrive at the town and realize there is a spell over the townspeople, making them hallucinate that they are demons and causing them to kill one another. (IO9)

Executive producer Eric Kripke says that God Himself (or Herself) will enter the apocalyptic battle at some point late in the season, although he’s mum on the how and the who’s-going-to-play Him (or Her). Until then, it’s going to be all-out Armageddon; it’s 2014 and the Croation virus has spread across the world, Sarah Palin is president of the United States, and the hunters live in the woods, trying to protect the survivors. Castiel has now been cut off from heaven and as his powers start to fade, he becomes more and more in touch with his humanity — with sometimes funny, sometimes poignant results. As we mentioned before, Ellen, Jo, Rufus, and Chuck will all appear this season, and there’s a chance we’ll see Papa Winchester as well, but only if Jeffrey Dean Morgan is available. And the nature of Titus Welliver’s role has been revealed: he’ll be playing one of the muscle-car-driving Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. (TV Guide Magazine)

The Beautiful Life

Corbin Bleu had to say about his character, Isaac, on the show: “He bounces back and forth between modeling and the music world. Out of all the characters, he has very good morals. He wants to do well and be legit about it. This woman (modeling agency boss Claudia Foster, played by Elle MacPherson) comes about and really tries to pry at him. He’s being kept. This is not what he wants, and he gets desperate through certain points.” (Watch With Kristin)

The Mentalist

Series creator Bruno Heller confirms that Rigsby and Van Pelt “will take their courtship to the next level. We’ve been working toward this. The push and pull of should they or shouldn’t they is a big part of their dynamic in the office. But once they do take it to the next level, that presents a whole fresh set of problems for them: Who do they tell? Can they tell anyone? What happens when the bureau finds out?” (Michael Ausiello)

“I don’t foresee finding Red John,” Heller confesses. “I think finding Red John is a lifetime’s journey. But never say never.” (Michael Ausiello)

True Blood

In the season finale, Maryann in a wedding dress and Sookie in a maid-of-honor dress for some season-finale craziness, courtesy our favorite maenad. (Maryann plans to marry the sacrifice-conjured Dionysus) Expect many surprises on the September 13 True Blood finale, including Sam turning to an unlikely ally to help save Bon Temps. (Watch With Kristin)

There’s a plan in place for her [Evan Rachel Wood] to return next season. (Michael Ausiello)
