90210

Two new characters appear to spell the end of Liam and Naomi. A sexy surfer hottie will spar with Liam on the beach, and Naomi will fake an interest in the environment to snare her new do-gooder, college-aged boyfriend. (TV Guide)

Big Love

His Breaking Bad bosses have given Aaron Paul the green light to moonlight on season 4 of Big Love. The big question: What’ll happen now that Scott and Sarah are engaged? “The only thing they’ve told me,” he says, “is that something big will happen to my character this season.” (Michael Ausiello)

Bones

Executive producer Hart Hanson says that early in the season Angela will break her vow of celibacy with a man. “It’s someone we’ve seen before,” he teases. “I just told Michaela who it was and she shrieked.” It’s probably no coincidence that in the same episode, Angela and Brennan’s friendship is tested like never before. “Angela and Brennan have a big fight,” Hanson reveals. “Their friendship is deeply challenged. It’ll be the first time that Brennan realizes that being totally rational about something isn’t necessarily being a good friend. And every time she has done that in the past, Angela has come around and excused Brennan’s behavior. This time, if they’re friendship is to be maintained, Brennan has to take a step toward the irrational.” (Michael Ausiello)

Californication

Peter Gallagher says, “I’m going to be on Californication this season, and I’m playing Dean Stacy Koons, the dean of the university where Hank Moody (David Duchovny) works. Embeth Davidtz plays my wife, Felicia Koons. I’m fairly antagonistic with Mr. Duchovny. I had the time of my life—about as much fun as any actor is allowed to have.” (Watch With Kristin)

Other guest stars on Californication this fall include Kathleen Turner as an evil agent, Rick Springfield as a drug-addled star, Diane Farr as Hank’s T.A. at the university where he’s teaching, Eva Amurri as a stripper/student and, believe it or not, Ed Westwick, also playing a student. (Watch With Kristin)

Chuck

In the season premiere, Chuck will undergo spy training for about three months. General Beckman is not happy with Chuck’s progress and even says that the Intersect 2.0 was meant for a real spy like Bryce Larkin not for a regular and emotional Joe such as Chuck. (TV Squad)

Chevy Chase’s computer billionaire character, Ted Roark, won’t be coming back: “I got killed. I got shot right in the heart. Dead,” says Chase. (Watch With Kristin)

The season premiere is titled “Chuck vs. the Pink Slip,” and Zachary Levi will be sporting a full beard, an old t-shirt, a baseball cap, and sunglasses for at least part of the episode. Despite rumors that Sarah would be working at a Subway this season, the Orange Orange set was still in use for the premiere. (Chicago Tribune)

We’ll still be seeing the Buy More this season, but it won’t be the same antics-driven shop as before. Tony Hale’s character, Emmett Milbarge, will be running the store with an iron fist, and keeping a video of Joseph Stalin reviewing the troops at the Red Square running on the screens. His office will feature a giant executive chair and a “Buy-Moria” flag, and the newly demoted Big Mike is still stuck on the Buy More floor. (Chicago Tribune)

As for the rest of the season, Casey and Sarah will be functioning as Chuck’s “senseis,” helping him master his new abilities, and we will delve more into the backgrounds of the spies and their twisty backstories. And Casey, who will still be around the Buy More crew, may be getting a love interest. (Chicago Tribune)

Criminal Minds

“It’s our ninth episode of the season,” says executive producer Ed Bernero. “And a story that started in the last episode of season 4 is going to culminate in this episode. That’s all I can say without giving too much away . . . You’ll see somebody caught that we really want caught.” (Michael Ausiello)

If you’ve spent all summer sweating over Hotch’s fate at the hands of the gun-wielding Reaper, rest assured that you’ll get your answer quickly, as the premiere picks up right where the cliff-hanger left off. Meanwhile, the rest of the team will track a serial killer who’s targeting an ER doctor. The bad news: One of the team will catch a bullet in the process. The good news: There’s a doctor handy. (TV Guide)

Desperate Housewives

This season’s mystery will kick off in the premiere when a pivotal female character gets strangled. (Michael Ausiello)

Bree’s emotional affair with Karl will take on a new dimension when they start sending dirty text messages to each other. (TV Guide)

Dana Delany (Katherine) did spill a few tidbits about Drea de Matteo incoming character Angie Bolen: “She’s such a mystery; we don’t really know who she is yet. She started out very friendly and is starting to show her strength.” (Watch With Kristin)

As for who’s really under the veil, Dana Delany said, “Lets just put it this way: Both Susan [Teri Hatcher] and Katherine believe that they’re the bride. It’s not good [for their friendship]. I’m very happy with my storyline this season because Katherine is getting to be a little snarky again. She’s getting her edge back.” (Watch With Kristin)

Dexter

Dexter and his daddy Harry (James Remar) are working much more in harmony this season. Says Remar, “This year we’re more companions than adversaries. Last year we were butting heads a lot, and Dexter was very angry with me. At the end of last season, he offered me his forgiveness because he knew he was going to be a dad. This year we’re having more of a grown-up relationship where he’s an adult, he’s a man in his majority, he’s a father, so we spend time together in pursuit of bad people.” However, since Dex is a bit busy with a new baby, Harry is riding him about priorities: “Harry is nagging at Dexter’s purpose because he’s trying to get off track this year, and Harry wants him to go after the Trinity Killer. We’ve got our work cut out for us.” (Watch With Kristin)

Eastwick

Veronica Cartwright, famous for her cherry-puking scene in the movie version, and Cybill Shepherd, who has signed on for a multiple-episode arc, are being fitted for black hats and broomsticks as we speak. (TV Guide)

FlashForward

Producer Marc Guggenheim says, “Dominic Monaghan’s character, Simon, is the smartest man in the world, and he definitely knows it. He’s mysterious, but not just for story reasons. He’s a mysterious kind of person. He’s someone that’s so intelligent that he has a difficult time interfacing with people on a human level, because he’s just so much smarter than them. He’s an enigmatic figure whom I hope you’ll want to get to know over the course of the first season.” (Watch With Kristin)

Fringe

Right off the bat in the first episode, one character’s alliances will be questioned, and the answer will be heartbreaking for fans of the show. (TV Guide)

There’s no Leonard Nimoy in the first episode of season two. But he’s already filmed one episode for season two, and will be back after that as well. (The TV Addict)

This year’s class of interns will include a bleeding-heart caregiver, an exacting perfectionist and a scheming underminer. In other words, the staff of Seattle Grace will meet their mini-mes, and much irony will ensue. (TV Guide)

James Pickens Jr. says, “The Chief has some really interesting stuff coming up this season. There’s a part of his personal life that viewers haven’t seen yet, and it’s going to be very intriguing, and they’re going to really like what’s going to happen.” (Watch With Kristin)

As far as how George’s (T.R. Knight) death is going to affect everyone, James Pickens Jr. says, “Each person is going to be touched in a different way. Everyone is going to be affected. [Knight] was an integral part of the cast, and he’s one of the more talented guys I’ve worked with, so I wish him well.” (Watch With Kristin)

Heroes

Here’s the official description for season four/volume five, straight from the network:

Claire is finding that her biggest challenges are forgetting her old life and starting college. How does someone who has led such an extraordinary life assimilate back into everyday college life? Any semblance of normalcy is shortly overturned when Claire’s roommate commits suicide and Claire discovers her new friend, Gretchen (guest star Madeline Zima), is hiding a secret herself.

Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) goes back to his old life in Japan, but discovers that he has a terminal illness. When Hiro can no longer keep his illness hidden, he sets out to fulfill his own personal bucket-list – righting the mistakes of his past. But will Hiro be able to correct the errors of his ways without severely altering the past and present?

Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) returns to work as an ordinary New York City EMT, but he uses his abilities to save lives. Peter has become obsessed, looking for redemption and shutting out the rest of the world he once knew. How can he forget the past and begin anew? Peter’s life will quickly change when a hearing impaired woman, Emma (guest star Deanne Bray), enters his life. Emma has used her disability as an excuse to shut herself off from the world. But as a new and unique ability manifests, the shell she’s built around herself will begin to crack apart – as will Peter’s.

H.R.G. is adjusting to life as a single man. Charged with creating a new company, he is rapidly discovering that he needs more from his life. But how does a company man become ordinary? And, when Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) returns and offers H.R.G. compelling evidence of a new danger, it makes H.R.G. wonder if he should get back in the game.

Tracy Strauss, having risen from the dead, is consumed with seeking vengeance, but soon realizes that she has a real opportunity to reinvent herself. The question is: who should she be?

Nathan Petrelli, not realizing who he really is, returns to the Senate and begins to notice strange changes in himself. Most alarming, Nathan discovers that he has new abilities. These changes are not lost on Angela, who recognizes them for what they truly are – the emergence of Sylar.

Meanwhile, racked by the guilt of what he did to Sylar and Nathan, Matt Parkman returns to life as an ordinary family man. All he wants to do is to raise his son, love his wife and return to a fulfilling career as an LAPD detective. But what Matt doesn’t know is that something unfamiliar is buried deep within his psyche – Matt can see and hear Sylar. And this specter will haunt him until Sylar is returned to his body.

The biggest challenge for our heroes is a strange and dangerous carnival comprised of a traveling band of outsiders with powerful abilities, led by a charismatic and powerful leader, Samuel (Robert Knepper). Alongside Samuel is his right hand man, Edgar (guest star Ray Park), a deadly Speedster with a talent for knives, and Lydia (guest star Dawn Olivieri) the Tattooed Lady.

Samuel leads his flock to intersect with the lives of all of our heroes. He will find them, and he will entice them to join him. And together, they will ask the same basic questions: Who are we? What does having powers mean to the world? How should we live our lives – shameful or proud? Should we hide or live out in the open? And if the world of powers is revealed, how will the world ever recover?

House

Lost

Elizabeth Mitchell says Juliet is in about 20 percent of season six. And there will be some resolution to the Juliet storyline that will make you sigh — so, possibly a bittersweet resolution? — and later on in the season, something that might make you smile. (Watch With Kristin)

Ian Somerhalder confirmed to us that Boone is returning to the show, but true to Lost form, he has no idea what’s going to happen. “I probably won’t know until I’m landing in Hawaii,” joked Somerhalder. Well, at least we all know Boone is dead. “Or is he?” said Somerhalder. Ian shared his take on what he’d like to see happen for Boone, dead or alive: “I would like to see him find his power. I think there was always solidarity there. Boone was a pretty successful guy who [was] in his own world and had created a certain amount of responsibility that he had. I think there was power in that, and when they took him out of his element, I think he lost his power, and we never got to see him come into fruition, by virtue of his untimely death.” (Watch With Kristin)

NCIS

Executive producer Shane Brennan. “In the first three or four episodes, Gibbs has his tape measure out and he’s measuring the basin,” he teases. “And everyone will have to wait and see what goes in there. I will tell you this: You haven’t seen the last of the boat.” (Michael Ausiello)

“You cannot miss the first minute of our [September 22] season premiere,” teases executive producer Shane Brennan. “You’ll think you know what’s going on, but then you’ll go, ‘Am I seeing things? What just happened?!’” Brennan says Tony and Ziva’s relationship “will evolve rapidly” in the opener and then play out over the next three episodes. “And then fans will have to take a big deep breath and try and figure out what will happen next.” (Michael Ausiello)

Smallville

We will see flashbacks to Zod’s (Callum Blue) days in Kandor, which is the capital city of Krypton. (Watch With Kristin)

The season premiere will feature a few familiar faces. Battlestar Galactica actor, Alessandro Juliani, better known as Felix Gaeta, will appear, as will Stargate Atlantis’ Amelia Banks. Banks will likely play Fiona, described as a super-tough soldier, and her role may be recurring. (GateWorld)

Sons of Anarchy

Despite his wife’s death in Season 1, Opie’s commitment to SAMCRO will be even stronger. “Opie is a guy who needs a task,” series creator Kurt Sutter says. Opie’s task will find him getting even closer to Clay, which will most definitely have an impact on Jax’s emotional arc this season. (TV Guide)

It’s a shambles through which Sheldon and Wolowitz are happy to rummage for the sake of settling a bet. (Michael Ausiello)

Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) are going to give it a go, but Kaley says: “It’s going to put a monkey wrench in the boys’ relationships. They get a little jealous.” How long will we see Penny and Leonard together? “I have a feeling it’s not going to be long,” she said. “They’re going to mess it up. It’s not going to work. These things don’t work out.” (Watch With Kristin)

The New Adventures of Old Christine

Poor Christine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is getting a divorce this season since Barb (Wanda Sykes) needs to find a man to marry in order to stay in the country. Julia says Christine doesn’t take the divorce well: “She’ll go through huge withdrawals. It’s going to be a very bitter, difficult divorce for her and Barbara. It’s going to be very wicked.” Still, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t try to save Barb. According to Louis-Dreyfus, “I’m absolutely crazy about trying to rescue Barb from deportation. That’s going to be insanely fun.” (Watch With Kristin)

The Office

The show is looking to cast an actress that looks like Daryl (Craig Robinson) from behind. (Michael Ausiello)

Michael’s going to cultivate some mob ties this season. Or so everyone will think. (Michael Ausiello)

True Blood

You’ll see Sookie and Eric naked in bed together, and the death of two prominent vampires, before the end of the season. (TV Guide)

Don’t worry too much about Fellowship of the Sun fanatic Luke and his body bomb—our favorites, including Godric, Sookie, Bill and Jason, make it out of the nest safely. Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) does get wounded next week on True Blood, but that’s OK because it sets up an intimate scene between him and Sookie. (Watch With Kristin)

Also, says Toni, “Buck is getting some. It creates all these conflicts, but Tara’s not herself when she’s Buck. Buck’s got his own life, and he’ll do what he wants to do.” Will Buck and his new girlfriend, played by Joey Lauren Adams, go to first base? “Perhaps beyond first base,” adds Toni. (Watch With Kristin)
