Rory Cochrane has joined the ensemble of Fox’s 24 for this coming season. Cochrane will be filling the recurring role of Greg Seaton, a crony of Jon Voight’s big very baddie. [TV Guide]
Kurtwood Smith, who is a recurring character this season, said, “I’m doing what I think is six episodes [this season]. I’m in the first episode, and then I don’t come back until episode 10. I’m a U.S. senator, and the first episode is in a hearing room—where I’m grilling Jack—and then a good deal of the rest of it takes place in the White House, and what we’re shooting this week is my last big scene, and it’s just Kiefer and I. It’s a very interesting scene. It really addresses the argument between my character and Kiefer’s attempt at justifying what he has to do.” [Kristin@E!Online]
90210

Burn Notice
According to Matt Nix, “As much as Fiona would like to say she could be with anybody, she can’t. And as much as Michael’s head is telling him that they have no business being together, that’s very difficult for him. A lot of the season is exploring the implications of that.” [Kristin@E!Online]
Chuck
In the September 29 season premiere, Chuck and Sarah finally set a date… to go on a date — a real date. Not surprisingly, things don’t go smoothly. Actually, things don’t go at all, thanks to one Mr. Adam Baldwin. [Michael Ausiello]
John Larroquette gives his funniest performance since his Night Court days when he guests as a retired 007 in October. As an added bonus, his episode also features the inimitable Melinda Clarke sporting her most over-the-top accessory yet: a thick Russian accent. [Michael Ausiello]
Sarah will eventually move in with Chuck, possibly towards the end of this season. [TV Guide]
This coming season will not be all smiles, so Captain Awesome is going to head to the most and least likely person for advice on Ellie. [Kristin@E!Online]
Bryce Larkin is back and accompanies Chuck, Sarah and Casey on a mission. Chuck, working as a waiter, is jealous, watching Sarah and Bryce flirt and feed each other strawberries, and is distracted enough to cause a scene and get fired. A Fulcrum Agent later holds Chuck at gunpoint to get what she wants. Morgan deals with big, mean guys from another store that come in to Buy More to eat their lunch and play the video games. When he tries to tell them to clean up, quiet down and share the games with other customers, the lead guy stands up to him and threatens him. The big bully challenges Morgan and Lester to a fight but they chicken out and hide at the Buy More all night. [SpoilerFix.com]

Dexter
According to Dexter boss Clyde Phillips, “We’re introducing a new character named Joey Quinn, played by Desmond Harrington, who is a Northeastern transplant with a New York accent who looks nothing like anyone in Florida. He comes over from narcotics. By the time we pick up the season, he’s been there for a couple of weeks, and I.A. [internal affairs] is sniffing around him for various interesting reasons, and he partners up with Deb.” [Kristin@E!Online]
Friday Night Lights
Buddy’s back (Lyla’s Dad), and, as you might expect, he’s none too pleased that Lyla and Tim are officially boyfriend and girlfriend. [Michael Ausiello]

Jesse Plemons said that he doesn’t think the breakup will hold. “If I know the writers, they’ll end up together at some point,” he said. “I think they’re just adding some drama… This is Friday Night Lights.” [Michael Ausiello]
Grey’s Anatomy
Lexie Grey, a big ball of confusion following her impromptu smooch with George, reaches out to the unlikeliest of colleagues for advice: McSteamy. [Michael Ausiello]
Creator Shondra Rhimes talking about the new season: I think a lot of the focus is going to be on the five core interns we’ve gotten to know—who aren’t interns anymore—George (T.R. Knight), Izzie (Katherine Heigl), Cristina (Sandra Oh), Alex (Justin Chambers) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). I really want to focus on them as they deal with the next step in their training. We’re also going to spend a lot of time with Mark (Eric Dane), Derek (Patrick Dempsey), Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Erica (Brooke Smith) and see their interactions. [Kristin@E!Online]
Rhimes talking about Meredith and Derek’s relationship: There’s a whole host of other problems that come with Meredith and Derek being together, and a whole host of other storylines, drama and excitement. So I’m really actually excited about them being together, because I feel like what I wanted you to leave with last season is Meredith standing in that field, having done this incredible thing, and the look on her face is a little bit like, “Oh my God, now I actually have to do this.” That’s important. [Kristin@E!Online]
Rhimes talking about Callie and Erica’s kiss: Eventually that’s going to play out. I feel like the important thing is that at the end of the season, Callie kissed a girl. We’re going to watch that part of it play out: Did she mean to kiss a girl? What does it mean that she’s kissed a girl? Is she excited about it? What does it mean for Erica? We don’t really know Erica’s side of the story yet in terms of what’s going on with the two of them. Then we’re going to watch the larger world of what happens when the two of them come out of the hospital, and what happens when Callie’s dad (Hector Elizondo) finds out. I think it’s going to be really interesting because I think it’s very different to go from being 19 and declare this, and be a grown woman and declare this, when your family’s already thought something else. [Kristin@E!Online]
Rhimes talking about Alex and Izzy: I think you’re going to see a lot of really interesting sparks between the two of them. [Kristin@E!Online]
Rhimes talking about the addition of Kevin McKidd: He’s going to be playing Owen Hunt, who is a military doctor that comes to the hospital on leave. [Kristin@E!Online]
Heroes
As was revealed in the Comic-Con screening of the season premiere, Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is getting powers, and that the powers you see exhibited at the end of the finale are not the end of the story. Before too long we’ll see him exhibit a nifty power that he shares with one of the top five comic-book superheroes of all time. [Kristin@E!Online]

[...] Vincent’s okay and will appear in season five. [...] Kate will see Sawyer again. [... The nonspeaking "beachies" who were ferried to the blown-up boat are] dead. Faraday is probably gonna be okay. [...] This year, when season five starts, you’re not going to know when and where you are. We took a tape measure and measured her heels. I told our show runner Bill Lawrence, ‘You see, this is how you have to dress if you want to be a good doctor!’ Courteney’s hysterical; she’s a riot. We’re so lucky to get her for three episodes. I hope she comes back and does more.” [Kristin@E!Online]
