10 Things I Hate About You

There are no payoff plotlines for the TV version of 10 Things I Hate About You’s Kat and Patrick. However, they will hang out at her house in episode seven (titled “Light My Fire”), and we’re pretty sure that leads to some kissage. (Watch With Kristin)

Kat and Patrick end up going to a school dance together, only it doesn’t work out as romantically as in the movie. (Watch With Kristin)

Big Love

Big Love producers are now casting for Dale, a closeted gay Mormon accountant who takes charge of the Juniper Creek assets. (Watch With Kristin)

The Walker family is growing. When the show returns in the fall, Scotty and Kevin are going to try to have a baby, and we’re hearing something about an appearance by Nora’s mom, who will, no doubt, make Nora crazy. (Watch With Kristin)

The show will add a medical-school study partner for Justin (Dave Annable)—a 16-year-old straight-A student whiz kid (think Doogie Howser) The as-yet-uncast character, potentially of East Indian decent, will challenge Justin’s confidence and cause him to question his priorities. (TV Guide Magazine)

When Rachel Griffiths returns as Sarah following her real-life maternity leave, she will be bringing with her something very special. She will briefly be seen in the season premiere, which will explain that Sarah endured a terrible summer of on-line dating and retreated to France for a much-needed vacation. When she lands back in California, on her arm will be gorgeous actor Gilles Marini as her new French beau. Per executive producer Monica Breen, Gilles’ character (who is still awaiting a name) will “make Sarah really think about her views on men. He will be an amazing challenge for her.” Co-producer Molly Newman adds that he will also figure into Sarah’s business dealings at Ojai Foods. (TV Guide Magazine)

CSI

Grissom won’t be coming back with Sara. (Michael Ausiello)

Exec producer Carol Mendelsohn says that CSI will be bringing back a few members of the infamous Millander clan in this season’s second episode. “The last time we saw [serial killer] Paul Millander was in season 2 when Grissom had dinner at [his alter ego] Judge Mason’s house, because, if you remember Paul lived a double life as a judge. And we met Mrs. Mason and their young son, Craig. Well, Paul’s dead, but Mrs. Mason and Craig live on. And we will see them in episode 2.” (Michael Ausiello)

Executive producer Naren Shankar says: “You’re going to get an explanation for that ring Langston (Laurence Fishburne) still has on his finger in [episode 2].” (Michael Ausiello)

Shankar reveals a season long arc: “We’re going to launch a new season-long serial killer arc this season. Starting at the end of our premiere, a brand new nemesis [will emerge] who has a very unique way of killing. This time, the crime scene is always the body,” Shankar teases. “We’re calling him Dr. Jekyl.” (Michael Ausiello)

CSI: Miami

Rory Cochrane turned down the producers’ offer to reprise his role of Speedle in the season premiere’s flashback episode. (Michael Ausiello)

The flashback episode will reveal how Tripp lost all his hair. As executive producer Ann Donahue explains, “We’ll see Tripp with a combover and Calleigh says something like, ‘You know, bald men are really sexy.’ And then the next time we see him he’s shaved his head.” (Michael Ausiello)

Dark Blue

Jaimie is on point for the case, which gives her fellow team members the chance to learn some bits and pieces about her real past. But when the sting operation’s deadline gets pushed up, it takes some quick thinking and legally questionable moves on Jaimie’s part to make the arrest. (TNT)

Series creator Shonda Rhimes talking about the new season and Ellen Pompeo’s pregnancy: “[So] we have a lovely story [on deck] that will take us into her maternity leave. And we have plans for some really interesting stand-alone episodes for [while she's gone]. But we’re heading towards the future of the show and eventually, unless we’re really lucky, everybody’s going to go. That’s what the end of season 5 taught me. So we’re looking at, How do we mess with that structure now while we have everybody and figure out ways in which, ‘What would we do without Ellen? What would we do if we had an episode without Patrick Dempsey?’ So season 6 is important. A lot of shows don’t make it through season 6 because they don’t know how to transition.” (Michael Ausiello)

The show is casting an oncology resident for episode two of season six. (Watch With Kristin)

How I Met Your Mother

Barney and Robin’s relationship will be one of two major focal points of season 5, ays executive producer Craig Thomas. “Barney’s feelings for Robin are out there, and it seems like Robin might have feelings for Barney herself,” he says. “And it’s so much fun to write for two people who are emotionally illiterate like the two of them are.” (Michael Ausiello)

The other major season 5 story is the Mother being one of Ted’s students. (Michael Ausiello)

In Plain Sight

Executive producer David Maples talks about the August 9 season-ender: “The In Plain Sight finale is an event that unfolds over two episodes, and a lot of things transpire with our cast, work-wise and with personal relationships. Things are left up in the air with the show, but it’s not like the Moldovan army comes in and starts spraying bullets and we don’t know who’s alive and who’s dead. It’s not quite that kind of a cliffhanger.” (Watch With Kristin)

Nurse Jackie

Peter Facinelli’s Coop kisses a dude in the season finale. (Michael Ausiello)

A piece of Jackie’s secret life (well, secret to most at the hospital) slips out in the July 27 episode when Dr. Cooper accidentally finds out that Jackie has a kid and he gossips about it to Eddie. (Watch With Kristin)

As for Jackie’s other big secret, that drug dependency becomes more and more of a problem for the saintly nurse: She moves up to harder stuff, and she also starts getting sloppy. Jackie accidentally drops her pills into her kid’s food, she gets a nose bleed after snorting up in the hospital church, and then Zoey (Merritt Wever) walks in on her snorting drugs in the bathroom. (Watch With Kristin)

Sheila and Janet have a face-to-face alone in the firehouse that ends with Janet giving Tommy an ultimatum of “It’s her or me.” (Watch With Kristin)

Supernatural

Dean takes Castiel out for a night on the town to loosen him up. As you could assume, hilarity ensues. (Watch With Kristin)

The New Adventures of Old Christine

“He’s [Eric McCormack] going to be a therapist in Matthew’s suite of therapist offices and I’m going to start to see him as a therapist,” says Julia Louis-Dreyfus, adding that, “a [possible] romance and plenty of dysfunction abounds.” (Michael Ausiello)
