June 4th, 2009 | 0 Comments | Email | Share | TweetWelcome to the Spoiler Roundup, the most comprehensive weekly spoiler wrapup on the internet. We scour the web for all the best spoilers on some of the most popular shows on the air.
This Week: 90210, Army Wives, Burn Notice, Desperate Housewives, Entourage, Fringe, Greek, Heroes, Lost, Psych, Sons of Anarchy, The Closer, True Blood and Weeds.
90210
The show is getting a new character. Teddy, the new man in town is a tennis champ who is also the son of a famous movie star. He is described as returning to West Beverly. Teddy’s charm is described as “Clooney-esque,” which will surely send all the ladies’ hearts a-flutter. That is, until it actually causes the inevitable rift/catfight among Silver, Annie and Naomi, thus teaching our young girls that when looking for a potential suitor, don’t let anything get in your way, least of all your best friends. All other women are evil and should be considered competition. (TV Guide)
Army Wives
Sally Pressman says the Season 3 premiere on June 7 will answer “every single question” so the Army wives can get into a whole new set of problems. For Roxie and Trevor, who are deeply invested in a failing business, those problems are financial – yet may be readily remedied by a plucky newcomer. (TV Guide)
Burn Notice
Paul Blackthorne has been cast to play Thomas O’Neill, an Irishman who arrives in Miami with a longtime grudge against Fiona. He show up towards the end of the season 3. (Michael Ausiello)
When season three of Burn Notice premieres, Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) survives his drop into the Atlantic Ocean only to end up in jail. Don’t worry, this season isn’t about breaking out from prison, though Michael shouldn’t trust the guy (Brian Van Holt) who springs him from the slammer. (Watch With Kristin)
Mike’s brother Nate is back in episode three, and not coincidentally so is arms-dealing baddie Jay Karnes, and Karnes is delish as a cackling villain who almost gets the better of Mike. (Watch With Kristin)
Desperate Housewives
Executive producer Marc Cherry talked about the possibility of Mike (James Denton) and Susan (Teri Hatcher) getting back together, “The idea is, we’ll get back there. I don’t know when. If ABC makes a deal with all of us, it looks like we have a few years to play this out, so I would imagine at some point in time Susan and Mike will find their way back in each other’s universe.” (Watch With Kristin)
Entourage
Entourage is now casting for a TV producer who had a major hit teen series in the ’90s and is trying to get Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon) to appear in the 90210 remake. (Watch With Kristin)
Fringe
Producers are currently casting a new female agent to replace Kirk Acevedo’s Charlie. The character is described as brash, outspoken, quick-witted, and capable, and possesses a “deep core belief” in the wonders of the universe. (Michael Ausiello)
John Noble explains what to expect in season two: There will be a lot more revelations about Peter now that we know he’s “from another place.” Also, there will be conflict between Peter and Walter. But also, having opened up the interdimensional can of worms, there will be some huge events. The writers have some “stunning” and “mind-boggling” ideas coming up.
Greek
Casey (Spencer Grammer) has a near-death experience in the season finale of Greek, which leads her to admitting that she’s in love with Cappie (Scott Michael Foster), but he actually shoots her down. That doesn’t mean she’s staying with Max either though – Hint: Michael Rady is on Melrose Place next season. (Watch With Kristin)
Heroes
Hiro’s (Masi Oka) bloody noses and headaches are not going away next season on Heroes. In fact, it’s going to be a cause for speculation on if we’re going to lose another hero soon. (Watch With Kristin)
Lost
Emilie de Ravin will return as a full-time series regular for Lost’s sixth and final season, Team Darlton confirms. “Damon and I are very excited to bring Claire back to the show,” says Carlton Cuse, “and even more excited for people to experience just how she will return.” (Michael Ausiello)
Psych
The show is currently looking for a new slightly older (teenage) Young Shawn. (Watch With Kristin)
Sons of Anarchy
Ryan Hurst will be back as Opie in the second season. The now-widowed Opie will have an empty sidecar and plenty of screen time to hog as he rides into a Season 2 already revved up to kick-start plenty of drama. (TV Guide)
The Closer
Someone’s leaving the show! Kyra Sedgwick reveals that “a change in the squad” will come early into the new season (debuting June 8). “We lose a squad member,” she says. “It’ll be quick and painless, and it’ll be soon.” The departure is fitting given the overarching theme of the season: change. “The first and most obvious change is [Brenda's] married,” Sedgwick says. “Which is a big thing. How do you live as an individual you defined yourself as and thought of yourself as and now you’re attached to this other person? That’s a big change for her.” (Michael Ausiello)
True Blood
In the new season’s fourth episode, Sookie, Bill and their adoptive vamp Jessica wing it to Dallas, but there’s a surprise waiting for them at the airport. Later in the episode, an even bigger shock awaits Sookie when a special visitor drops by her hotel room. (Michael Ausiello)
Something happens in the first four episodes that may lead one to believe Eric has eyes for someone else. (Michael Ausiello)
“Everything gets deeper,” creator Alan Ball says. “Everything gets more intense. It’s a lot scarier. It’s sexier. It’s just really, really fun. I feel like each season is a novel, and the episodes are just chapters. Especially the way our show is. The episodes are not self-contained. You know, you gotta be involved in the story, and you gotta know what’s going on.” True Blood’s second season begins June 14 in its Sunday 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot. The season is based loosely on the second book in Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse Series, Living Dead in Dallas, Ball said. (SciFi Wire)
“Sookie [Anna Paquin] and Bill [Stephen Moyer] will go to Dallas to help find a missing vampire who is the sheriff of the Dallas area,” Ball said. “And Jason [Ryan Kwanten] is going to become involved in the Fellowship of the Sun Church in a way that is really surprising. … There’s a very interesting relationship in the show between Rev. Steve Newland of the Fellowship of the Sun Church and his wife, Sarah [Anna Camp], and Jason, that just took on its own life as we were shooting, and it’s hilarious. I can’t get enough of the Newlands and Jason together.” (SciFi Wire)
And Sookie’s hometown of Bon Temps will have some drama as well when Maryann Forrester, played by Michelle Forbes, “begins stirring up all kinds of trouble,” Ball said. Last season Maryann appeared to offer Tara (Rutina Wesley) some goodwill and a place to stay. But “she’s got an agenda, and it’s not a good one,” Ball said. (SciFi Wire)
While Ball plans on incorporating many elements from the book, he admits he’s taken liberties. He’s expanded several of the characters’ stories and added more of an African-American presence. And one thing you won’t see in True Blood is Elvis, a character who ends up helping Sookie out in many of her adventures in the books. In the novel series, the real Elvis gets turned into a vampire; however, the process leaves him different. Elvis becomes Bubba, a slightly touched vampire whom the vampire community takes care of. “We are not going to meet him,” Ball said. “I just couldn’t figure out a way to do it that would not be cheesy. I mean, not that it is in the books. It’s great, because you can imagine that it’s him. … But the only way to do it [on screen] is to have some Elvis impersonator, and it just wouldn’t [be] the same.” (SciFi Wire)
Weeds
The new season starts off with the fallout from that announcement. Her family is pissed. Even Andy, who loves her. Nancy basically acknowledges she’s a terrible human being, but then proceeds to act like even more of one. She dumps Shane off to live with her volatile sister (Jennifer Jason Leigh) because he isn’t safe at home. She even purposely gets drunk to antagonize her Mexican drug lord boyfriend, simply because it’s the last card she can play in her epic power struggle. (Michael Ausiello)
Since her pregnancy is the only thing keeping her alive, Nancy’s more than happy to keep the baby for now! That said, if Nancy is going to save herself from one of Esteban’s hitmen before season’s end, it looks like it will probably be thanks to some combination of DEA guy, Guillermo and the well-armed Mexican rebel leader with whom Celia becomes close frienemies.
