24
Producers very briefly considered bringing Tony back from the dead in the finale’s closing moments. Ultimately, however, they decided that such a twist would violate the premise of the series.
Big Love
The big news in the June 11 premiere is that Barb, humiliated after being outed as a polygamist in last year’s finale, walks out on Bill, leaving the role of first wife up for grabs.
Bionic Woman
Katee Sackoff will work full-time on BSG and recur on Bionic. She’s fierce in Bionic Woman. She makes Starbuck look like Mary Poppins.
Dexter
they’re recasting the role of Rita’s son, Cody, possibly because her kids play a larger role this season. Also, season two’s first storyline has something to do with gang violence.
ER
Shane West will not be back next season. Producers wanted to “clean house” so Shane’s no longer a series regular, although he may return for guest spots. He shot a pilot called Supreme Courtships, a comedy for Fox, but sadly, it was not picked up.
As you’ll learn in the season premiere, the bomb blast didn’t prove nearly as harmful to Neela as the stampede that followed it. She spends almost the entire episode in surgery, where Dubenko is forced to step aside due to his feelings for her. By the end of the hour, she is still unconscious and it’s touch-and-go for her.
Grey’s Anatomy
Isaiah Washington has been taking meetings in New York and Los Angeles in search of a new job that would take place during the coming TV season, so it certainly appears that Isaiah’s Grey’s days are over. Insiders at ABC say “not everyone will be coming back” to Grey’s this fall, and although T.R. Knight’s fate was also left hanging in the balance after the season finale. T.R. Knight will be back – he has to wrap up that love triangle arc, not to mention his wife is the new chief resident and she wants to have George’s baby.
Heroes
Greg Grunberg (Matt), Milo Ventimiglia (Peter) and Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) will be back next season.
Next season begins four months into the future, and two of the main characters are in deep despair—one having completely lost his memory and the other having developed a major drinking problem.
Hiro is not with the rest of the Heroes at the beginning of season two. He is in 17th-century Japan in the midst of a war, and it takes him a few good episodes – as many as 6 – to get back to present-day NYC.
Jericho
There is a meeting is taking place this week at CBS regarding the future of the show.
Lost
The game-changer on tonights episode will go down in the history books as one of the coolest TV twists of all time.
One of the three main actors might not be in every episode next season.
There’s a great deal left to be told about the relationship between Sawyer and Kate.
Jack professes his love to someone.
Nip/Tuck
Not only are Christian and Sean dipping their toes into showbiz, the entire series is diving into the world of Hollywood. There is a major recurring character who plays a hit TV show runner. They’re also bringing in a powerful studio executive, who lives a bit of an alternative lifestyle on the down low. The editor of Us Weekly makes a cameo too, but it’s not Janice Min—just the show’s interpretation of her.
Numbers
Cheryl Heuton, “Dylan Bruno is not leaving the show. He will be back next season as a regular character. Fans will have to tune in next season to find out how Colby Granger’s arrest for espionage is going to play out.” Heuton confirms that Diane Farr will also be back full-time next season. Meanwhile, “If fans thought the final episode of Season 3 was big, wait until September,” she teases. “The Season 4 opener is even bigger.”
One Tree Hill
The show will forward four years at the start of the next season.
Rescue Me
Jennifer Esposito is a recurring love interest for Tommy. Franco’s only got eyes for Natalie (the returning Sherri Saum).
Scrubs
Season 7 starts off with a wedding.
Smallville
John Glover revealed that Annette O’Toole (Martha Kent) will not be returning to Smallville as a series regular next season. However, she may return for guest spots throughout the season.
Erica Durance revealed that Chloe didn’t die in the season finale.
The 4400
The 4400 returns to USA for a fourth season on June 17. Isabelle is getting kidnapped by her father and is forced to swallow a drug that age-regresses her. So, we see her as a young girl, although still has much of her adult memory.
The Closer
This season there will be a California serial killer who’s murdering women and dropping their bodies along the Pacific Coast Highway.
Veronica Mars’ Kyle Gallner guest-stars in the commercial-free season premiere on June 18. He plays the sole survivor of a murdered family.
S. Epatha Merkersen is joining the cast in a recurring role as Kyra Sedgwick’s doctor.
The Office
Rashida Jones will be back on The Office next season. The plan is to bring her back for an episode or two if she can work it out with her new show.
The Shield
The June 5 season finale is wild. Shane kidnaps Vic’s wife and daughter, Farmington loses two of its own (one quits, the other gets fired), a new romance blossoms, and a certain X-rated photo comes back to, um, bite Aceveda.
Weeds
Silas has a new girlfriend named Tara by midseason. She’s a goody-two-shoes type whom you wouldn’t necessarily pair up with Nancy’s eldest son. However, this is cable, so of course she’s got a wild side that eventually comes out.
