This week: 24, Battlestar Galactica, Charmed, Desperate Housewives, Entourage, ER, Grey’s Anatomy, Invasion, Lost, Prison Break, The Sopranos and more. Now let’s get to the spoilers . . . (SPOILERS BELOW)
24
Aaron, Mike and Martha are going to team up to help Jack take down President Logan in the season finale.
Battlestar Galactica
Producers are currently casting for episode seven. They’re looking for a new lieutenant named Novacek, described as a career military pilot, a man’s man, but comfortable and sentimental as well. He worked with Adama on many missions in the years leading up to the Cylon attack, and he was captured and imprisoned by the Cylons on his last mission. He escapes from his POW cell and reunites with Adama, only to discover that Adama has been carrying a dark secret about the day his ship went down all these years. Making things even more complicated, I hear we end up wondering if Novacek is a Cylon pawn pulling a Michael/Others deal on the Colonial fleet.
A very central character will not be around by the end of the third episode
Charmed
After the death of their respective sisters, Piper and Billie go their separate ways, both determined to get their families back together. Piper and Leo have an emotional reunion before she enlists Coops (Victor Webster) help to travel back in time and change the events that led to the deaths of Phoebe and Paige. When the sisters are finally reunited, they all get a glimpse into what the future holds.
Desperate Housewives
Susan and Mike get back together.
Danielle could be in some major danger, and Betty isn’t the Applewhite she should be afraid of.
Rumors are going around that Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) is going to run over Mike Delfino with his car.
Entourage
Vince runs into some problems with Aquaman, so a big part of this year is Ari and Eric navigating Vince’s career through troubled times. He gets into a little trouble with the studio, and it’s kind of up in the air whether or not he’s going to do Aquaman 2. So, we’re trying to deal with that. As far as the main storyline goes, it’s us trying to keep Vince’s career afloat.
ER
Another character will die next fall.
Grey’s Anatomy
Kate Walsh (Addison) and Eric Dane (McSteamy) are now signed on for all of Season 3. They were originally only committed through mid-season.
How I Met Your Mother
The season finale is going to be big. Someone is breaking up, and someone is getting together.
Invasion
After being cancelled by ABC, it doesn’t look like The CW will pick it up after they realized how expensive the show is to produce.
William Fichtner (Sheriff Underlay) told TVGuide.com that Season 2 “would have been even more exciting than where we went this year.”
Lost
Damon Lindelof reveals: Libby’s got this mysterious backstory, of which we’ve only given you the tip of the iceberg. We know she’s spent some time in the mental institution with Hurley, and the idea of killing her before she had an opportunity to explain how she got there… we have a master plan for how we’re going to tell that story, but it’s all posthumous. You’ll start to learn Libby’s moves through flashbacks over the course of the next season. So we’re not done with Cynthia, but Libby is dead.
Here are some things that happen in the season finale: In a clearing of crunchy grass, the nefarious Mr. Friendly twirls a bolo and barks at his fellow Others: “Don’t shoot! We need him.” At the beach, long-lost button pusher Desmond chugs from a bottle of booze and spills a secret. Down in the hatch, Eko mops up Libby’s blood and speaks of damnation. And as they load their weapons, Jack and Sawyer bond over the memory of Ana Lucia. “At least I get to kill somebody now,” says Sawyer, cocking his shotgun with an emphatic crack. This time, we’ll see Walt again, learn what caused Oceanic flight 815 to crash, find out what that mysterious button actually does (if anything), and more.
In Season 3, there will be new locations and new characters. The season’s big theme sounds timely, twisty, and terrifying. Hints Lindelof: “‘Us versus Them.’ But who’s the ‘us,’ and who’s the ‘them’?”
The cast is rehearsing a funeral on the beach. There are five graves. The two most recent are open, and contain corpses of Ana Lucia and Libby, wrapped in gray flannel.
We are going to find out why the plane crashed on the island and what happens if you don’t push the button in the hatch.
Desmond reappears, and he’s not in good shape, though he gives the survivors fresh hope for escape.
Desmond may join the cast full-time in season three.
Walt returns in the next two episodes.
We will get all the answers to Michael’s actions.
NCIS
While Gibbs recovers from an injury caused by a bomb explosion, he experiences temporary memory loss, while his team tries to stop a terrorist group from carrying out a devastating attack on the Navy. As the team tries to track down the terrorists behind the bombing that injured Gibbs, they learn that the terrorist group is planning another bombing of 9-11 magnitude — and that Gibbs has information about their plan. Meanwhile, Gibbs receives a visit from his former boss and mentor that conjures up suppressed memories. As Gibbs regains his memory, he finds himself on a race against the clock to fill in the gaps and stop the terrorists.
Prison Break
Dr Sarah may not be dead. Producer Matt Olmstead has made comments that seem to indicate Sarah may be alive and still working at the Fox River.
Rescue Me
We find out one of the firemen on Tommy’s crew turns out to be either bi-sexual or gay.
Smallville
The two Kryptonian aliens last seen in “Arrival” may return in Season 6.
It is rumored that James Marsters may appear in Smallville’s Season 6 premiere.
It sounds like all of Smallville’s seven lead characters will survive into the next season.
The Sopranos
HBO sent out this innocuous tease for the June 4 finale: “Tony gets Carmela’s career back on track; Chris picks up where Tony left off; AJ gets a work perk; Phil won’t let well enough alone.”
Stargate SG-1
Vala is seen doing an unusual job (for her that is) but quickly she returns to her old ways. When out on a sort of date with Daniel, she’s drugged and kidnapped. Stargate Command manages to get a few possible locations where Vala might be, and multiple SG teams go looking for her. She manages to get free without the help of the SG teams, but she has memory loss. Some powerful people are still after her.
That 70’s Show
Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher will be back for the series finale.
As far as Eric and Donna, Laura Prepon (Donna) said that the “fans would be happy” with how they end up.
The show may end on New Year’s Eve 1979.
Veronica Mars
Rob Thomas told TVGuide.com: “Beaver did not rape Mac,” he says. “He took her clothes, the phone, the towels, the bedding. Mac was essentially trapped in the room. When Veronica found her, Mac was wrapped in a shower curtain. That’s all we meant to imply with the line. We ended up cutting a scene in which we would have seen Beaver exiting the room with a Santalike bag of ’stuff.’ Viewers would’ve been left to imagine what was inside.”
