This Week: 24, Bones, Breaking Bad, Brothers and Sisters, Burn Notice, Desperate Housewives, Friday Night Lights, Fringe, Gossip Girl, Greek, Grey’s Anatomy, Heroes, House, How I Met Your Mother, Law and Order: SVU, Lost, NCIS, Parks and Recreation, Prison Break, Private Practice and Reaper.
24
Kim will play a major part in it. (Michael Ausiello)
Jack Bauer goes all Jack Bauer on Tony. It’s a brutal scene, so if extreme violence isn’t your thing, run for cover right around the halfway point. Just make sure you come back in time to catch Chloe and Janis’ hilarious sneer-off. (Michael Ausiello)
President Taylor will still be in the White House next season, and she’ll have a new, Rahm Emmanuel-like (or Ari Gold-like) chief of staff named Rob Weiss. The show is also casting a new CTU field-ops chief named Davis Cole, who’s hot for an expert CTU data analyst named Dayna Pakkala. Chloe’s CTU team will be joined by a twentysomething nerd named Jonah Schwartz. (Ain’t It Cool News)
Bones
The events of the season finale will further complicate the triangle, Emily Deschanel said. “Booth’s suspicion of his brother and his inability to fully trust his brother [is heightened]. It will give us some different dynamics to play next season.” (Michael Ausiello)
Emily Deschanel talking about the show traveling overseas again next season? “We’re not traveling at the beginning of the season, but we may go away at the end of the season or the beginning of the next. The intention is to travel again. But the way the next season is going to begin it wouldn’t make sense.” (Michael Ausiello)
Breaking Bad
The Whites welcome a new addition. Walter Jr. launches a new website in an effort to aid his struggling family. Jesse’s addiction begins to spiral out of control. Jane and Jesse’s relationship leads to friction with both Walt and Donald. (Spoiler TV)
Skyler and Walt collide in the season finale as her frustration with his secrecy finally comes to a head. Jesse self-destructs after a personal blow, forcing Walt to come to his aid. Donald’s grief leads to tragedy. (Spoiler TV)
Brothers and Sisters
Saul may have inadvertently caused the death of Ryan’s mother. (Kristin@E!Online)
The Walkers are Mexico-bound this Sunday in order to bring Tommy back to America. (Kristin@E!Online)
Kitty and Robert finally reconcile, while Justin and Rebecca announce to the family that they’re getting married. He even gets down on one knee with a makeshift ring. (Kristin@E!Online)
Burn Notice
Moon Bloodgood has been cast as a Miami cop on Michael’s trail, so it’d seem that Season 3 is about exposing the truth about Michael’s past. Recurring guest star Ben Shenkman may be Michael’s only ally, albeit a totally sketchy one. And of course Sam will get a new lady friend — for a little while anyway. (TV Guide)
Desperate Housewives
A character from Seasons 1 and 2 will show up in the last scene of the finale. (TV Guide)
Friday Night Lights
You haven’t seen the last of Tim. Taylor Kitsch is definitely returning for season 4. (Michael Ausiello)
Fringe
“Look for a very special gravestone and [take note of] whose name is on it,” teases co-executive producer Roberto Orci of the May 12 finale. “My God [I just gave you] a big puzzle piece.” (Michael Ausiello)
Anna Torv said about the finale: “I can’t say anything about the grave. But that’s a big plot [twist]. The grave is the key.” Torv was more forthcoming about the drama coming up for Olivia and Walter. “A whole lot of information starts to come to light about the trials and Olivia’s part in the larger puzzle,” she reveals. “Olivia decides to push Walter to his breaking point in order to get answers. She wants to know what happened to her and what is going on. She pushes a couple of buttons and Walter gets a little out of sorts and reverts to some of his old ways. I’m glad because it would be no fun if Walter fully recovered from his mental illness. People love him because he is eccentric and brilliant.”
Gossip Girl
One relationship won’t survive prom night. (Michael Ausiello)
Greek
The season finale — airing May 15 — centers around the End of the World Party at KT where the gang is faced with this hypothetical quandary: “If the world were to end tomorrow, what would I want to do?” That paves the way for “some major developments in the Cappie-Casey-Max department,” previews series creator Sean Smith, “as well the return of one of our favorite teachers and the bittersweet departure of one of our favorite snarky sorority sisters.” (Michael Ausiello)
Grey’s Anatomy
Chandra Wilson talking about the season finale, “In [the finale], we do ultimately find out what [happens with] George (T.R. Knight)—he does make a big decision in that episode. Izzie has a lot of medical [issues] in that episode. And then we have our normal ER catastrophe that goes on. It’s got to be something bad going on where all the doctors have to assemble. That much I know.” (Kristin@E!Online)
Heroes
Zachary Quinto is coming back next season. Sylar is present in what’s described as “a very Fight Club-esque way.” (Kristin@E!Online)
The Heroes deaths will continue next season, and a few of your favorite characters may be resurrected in the process. (Kristin@E!Online)
House
There’s a wedding in the season finale. (Michael Ausiello)
Monday’s finale will have House-Cuddy fans experiencing a wide range of emotions, including happiness, sadness, and anger. (Michael Ausiello)
Not only will Amber be back, but another memorable Princeton Plainsboro alum will descend from heaven to haunt House next week. (Michael Ausiello)
How I Met Your Mother
Stella (Sarah Chalke) is not the mom. Still, it looks like Chalke will be sticking around next season – in some capacity. (Michael Ausiello)
Law and Order: SVU
Another member of the SVU team is going to die in the June 2 season finale. (TV Guide)
Lost
Damon Lindelof talking about the finale: “All I will say is that it is time for the time travel craziness to end,” he said. “And once it does end, something very, very surprising will happen in its wake. It is a little bit of a game-changer.” (Michael Ausiello).
Jorge Garcia talking about the finale: “People will find out why [Hurley] got on the plane and how he came to get that guitar case in his hands,” he said. “I’ve been wondering about that, too. I remember at one point asking a question about it and getting a, ‘We don’t know yet.’ I had to ask once, ‘How heavy is it? Is it just a guitar? Is it something else? How heavy is it supposed to be?’ Sometimes I get an empty case to lug around in a scene and sometimes it has a guitar in it, but we don’t actually know what’s in it because that has not been [revealed] yet. It could be a case full of food or money or guns or papers or anything. So you see me get the case by the finale, but I don’t know that we will find out what’s in it. It was hard for me to play because at first I did not understand why Hurley would have ever changed his mind about going back to the island, and I’m sure fans are thinking the same thing. So it will be nice to be able to give them that information.” (Michael Ausiello)
Look for another game-changing finale. Based on the rumors we’re hearing about what happens, you may find yourself wondering how they could still even do the same show after this. (Kristin@E!Online)
NCIS
In the finale, Tony will have a run-in with Ziva’s father and it will be far from pleasant. (Michael Ausiello)
It is entirely likely that Tony will be a victim of … semantics. When NCIS boss Shane Brennan was asked about the rumor that Gibbs will lose a team member by season’s end, he said, “That’s not correct … but that’s not wrong, either. It’s one of those things that people are going to have to watch to figure out.” (TV Guide)
Parks and Recreation
The season finale finds Andy (Chris Pratt) out of his leg casts and throwing a concert. Andy’s band, Scarecrow Boat, has a song called “The Pit.” Tom’s (Aziz Ansari) wife is in attendance? (Kristin@E!Online)
Mark and Leslie (Amy Poehler) bond more at a bar, but he’s not the one Leslie kisses that night. (Kristin@E!Online)
Prison Break
A certain mystery guest is making a very important appearance in the finale, so important, everyone’s lives depend on it. Said guest may not have been a fan favorite at the time, but fans sure love this person now. This mystery person is not the only familiar face who returns though. Rockmond Dunbar, Amaury Nolasco and Danay Garcia also come back, along with a new FBI agent named Chris Franco, played by Ethan Rom. (Kristin@E!Online)
Ten things that happen in the finale:
Someone takes a bullet to the chest.
Someone has a very new girlfriend.
A man dies.
A woman dies.
Two women are held hostage.
Someone ends up a vegetable, and we’re not talking about the yummy, delicious kind.
Someone goes back to Fox River State Penitentiary.
Someone ends up in the electric chair.
Two nemeses have very similar fates.
Sarah is very dangerous with a gun (see above).
(Kristin@E!Online)
[Micheal] is faced with having to save [Sara] or [Lincoln], but with Mahone’s help they come up with a plan to attempt to save both. (Spoiler TV)
You will not see Maricruz, only Sucre and his daughter. He is with Maricruz, they probably just decided to film it without her. [...] There is someone who ends up in Fox River at the end of episode 22. [...] At the end of episode 22 the scene that is [set] 4 years later has Sara, Linc, Sucre, Mahone and Michael, Jr., at Michael’s grave. And then the show ends. [...] You will also learn what happened with Sucre, Mahone, Lincoln, C-Note, T-Bag, Sofia, LJ, Self, and Kellerman. (Spoiler TV)
Private Practice
Both Violet and Charlotte will return for Season 3. (TV Guide)
Things aren’t quite over for Violet and Cooper, romantically. (TV Guide)
Reaper
The Devil places Sam in a corporation that is actually a front for corrupting people into sinning so the Devil can collect their souls. Sam receives a text message from his Dad (guest star Andrew Airlie) in Hell, revealing that he has important information about how Sam can get out of his deal. After discovering the company’s offices contain a portal to Hell, the guys and Andi convince Nina to use the portal to go back to Hell to retrieve the information. (The CW)
