24

Jack’s dad will be back – soon.

Rumors are swirling that an unlikely romance — and an even unlikelier pregnancy — will have tongues wagging at CTU before the day is over.

Brothers and Sisters

Rebecca’s indecent overture to Joe (and subsequent cover-up) goes virtually unpunished.

There is a skeleton in Saul’s closet that’s about to come out.

Cold Case

The fourth season of this chilling drama comes to a close with the entire cold-case team being held hostage by a suicidal killer while they investigate the murder of a family. Can Lilly Rush (Kathryn Morris) get them out of this dangerous scenario, or will she crumble under these intense circumstances?

Degrassi: The Next Generation

The show returns to the N on June 29. And if you thought Paige and Alex were over, think again. Expect some lip-locking action between the two when the show returns.

Desperate Housewives

After the man robbed the pizzeria at gun point, he locks Lynette in the walk-in refrigerator.

Susan and Mike are set to wed in the forest during the finale and it seems that Susan lured Mike there without him knowing they would get married.

When Gaby rethinks marrying Victor, Milton convinces her to give his son another chance. Soon after she does, Gaby learns that Victor marrying her may all have been to do better in polls.

Edie promised Carlos a child but she is also still taking the pill.

Dexter

Showtime now says season two of Dexter starts in October. Production on season two begins in late May. Julie Benz talking about the show: “All I know is I have to deal with the implications of the shoe!” (You do remember the shoe of her ex-hubby, who was framed for parole violations by Dex, right?) And Lauren Vélez told me her detective character, who got demoted at the end of season one, should not be counted out. “I don’t think she’s gonna spend too much time crawling up. I think she’s just gonna get up.”

Entourage

Don’t get too comfy with Amanda, even though it seems as though Vince is in to her. Ari’s about to make his move and swoop Vinnie right out from under her.

Will Sloane and E. Stay Together? “His career keeps getting in the way,” Kevin Connolly explained. “That’s the problem with these two. They’ll probably commit and get married. But not until season eight or nine.”

Jerry Ferrara (Turtle) let it slip that Christina Ricci was supposed to guest star as a love interest for E. Though the casting didn’t pan out, another lady might be on the way.

Will Ari Ever Catch a Break? Not any time soon. In this Sunday’s episode, he gets a visit from an old frat buddy, played by The Howard Stern Show regular Artie Lange, who hilariously torments Ari with his newfound success, money and hot, young fiancée, played by Leslie Bibb. “I get to slap Leslie Bibb’s ass!” Lange told me. “My uncles will be so proud.”

And Artie (Who Last Worked with Piven in Old School) Might Be Back: “I was so flattered, because Doug Ellin cast me without having me come in to read,” Artie tells me. “And he was just in town and said he’d love to have me back on the show.” (Artie also says he’ll return as Kenny’s obnoxious cousin on Rescue Me for a four- to five-episode arc.)

“There’s finally an episode coming up where you see somebody who Lloyd has dated in the past,” Rex Lee told me. “They’re still casting the role.”

“I might take on another client this season,” Kevin Connolly dished. “Which could cause some serious problems between Vince and E.” And Vince and Amanda won’t last forever either. “Vinnie will do 116 things wrong with her,” Jeremy Piven teased. “But Ari will be there to pick up the pieces.”

Grey’s Anatomy

On this weeks episode, life deals Meredith yet another bad hand.

We will find out the results of the race for chief on the May 17 finale.

The rumors are swirling that TR Knight and Isaiah Washington are leaving the show at the end of the season.

In the season finale, Cristina and Burke’s wedding day arrives – along with the interns’ first exam results – and a successor to the Chief is named, as Callie and George make a big decision about their relationship.

Heroes

The bomb will go off in the season finale but how and when it happens will prevent the loss of a mass of innocent life.

Nathan’s fate and future is in question come season’s end. Rena Sofer (Heidi Petrelli) nodded in the direction of her onscreen hubby and said, “If he’s back, I’ll be back.”

Adrian Pasdar talking about if we might get a glimpse of Nathan’s two sons by Heidi in season two, he told me, “Um, what can I tell you? There’s a little bit of perhaps a separation between my ability to see them and, uh . . . I can’t really say too much.”

Linderman is going to heal Nathan’s wife (Rena Sofer in a wheelchair).

House

Foreman – fearful that he’s morphing into a House clone – will quit. But no, Omar Epps is not leaving the show.

Season one’s finale had a big character reveal (the explanation of House’s limp), but don’t expect anything similarly drastic for House in this season’s finale. Creator David Shore divulges, “It’s something much more subtle, but hopefully equally interesting. We’re not going to learn who House’s mom was or who his dad was, but we’re going to learn a little bit more about who he is.” Executive producer Katie Jacobs chimes in: “[It explores] the toll the last three years have taken on them as a whole, as a unit.”

When asked just how sick his character is, mentally, emotionally and physically, Hugh Laurie declares that House is “a seven,” but as House creator David Shore quips about possible House rehab and recovery, “It would be great for him, bad for us.”

Omar Epps talks about his character, neurologist Eric Foreman, “His family shows up, and you meet his mom and his father and the missing brothers.”

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

They are knee-deep in filming, and the storylines sound as ridiculously funny as ever. Let’s just say there is a major death in Dennis and Dee’s family (someone who may or may not have slept with Charlie). However, the gang doesn’t exactly mourn as you might expect.

Las Vegas

Season five picks up pretty much exactly where season four left off. There are leads in the death of Frank Connell, and Mary (Nikki Cox) is around for that first ep, probably to wrap things up. James Caan makes a final regular appearance as well, sorting out the aftermath of the Montecito’s bomb blast and robbery.

A detective believes Danny killed Mary’s father.

Lost

Tonights episode, The Brig, the much ballyhooed non-flashback outing, is a dark hour, punctuated by one of the most, twisted Lost deaths ever.

1) A classic Lost set piece makes a comeback.
2) Keep your eyes on Juliet’s tape recorder. It’s goin’ places.
3) Someone poses this question to Sawyer: “Wanna zip your pants up?”
4) There’s a little postcoitus canoodling within the first five minutes (and it may or may not be related to No. 3).

Jack is not dying tonight. And remember, there will be at least five deaths this month – four after tonight.

Naomi’s reveal that the outside world had found Flight 815 and that there were no survivors was not the “game-changing” moment Damon Lindelof talked about: “Nope. Not yet. Trust us: YOU. WILL. KNOW.”

We’ve already heard that five people die in May, but I can tell you it’s not so much the number, but the who.

In the next episode Naomi will delve further into what her mission is. The Other’s are on their way to “someplace”. We will find out how Cooper got to the island. What happened between Locke seeing his father tied up and when he said good-bye to Kate.

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were on the Preston & Steve Morning Show in Philadelphia. During the show they revealed that the four toed statue is very important but won’t be addressed until season 4, Walt or Michael will make an appearance by the end of this season, one two or three people may die.

They will be revisiting the psychic’s predictions for Claire in the future as well as Walt’s abilities. The Others’ obsession with children and pregnancy goes beyond the inability to successfully bear children on the island. The Other’s definitely have an interest in children with special abilities. That’s why they took Walt. There are two factions of The Others and are in no relation to the hatches/stations. They will be getting back to the statue before the show ends.

My Name Is Earl

The season finale is gonna break your heart! The cliffhanger is pretty insane and leaves Earl in a very dark place.

NCIS

In the season finale: As the NCIS Director returns from a controversial European junket, and Gibbs and his agents reluctantly prepare for hastily announced Homeland Security polygraph tests, tightly woven secrets among the team unravel, revealing the biggest surprise in this Season of Secrets. In addition, an unarmed Dinozzo and his girlfriend are held captive by a merciless drug-dealer.

One Tree Hill

When the kids wind up in Honey Grove, Texas, on May 10, not only do they crash the town’s prom, but there is also a hookup. And according to a setsider, “it’s gonna get hot at the after-prom.”

Dan’s going to contemplate suicide in the finale after he gets brought up on murder charges.

Private Practice aka Grey’s Anatomy 2.0

Just like on the original Grey’s, the elevator at Addison’s new workplace is as pivotal a character as the staffers themselves. In fact, this one even talks!

Rescue Me

Jennifer Esposito’s joins the cast as a new firefighter character who rescues Tommy from the season-ending fire he was trapped in.

Scrubs

The final scene of the season will find JD and Elliot in bed together, naked.

Shark

After serial killer Wayne Callison (Billy Campbell) is acquitted, Sebastian Stark (James Woods) gets another chance at justice when he puts Callison back on trial for the murder of a woman who has the same wounds as his previous victims in the first season finale.

Smallville

Clark, Lana, Lex and Chloe will all be in extreme peril by the end of the season finale. Alot of questions will be answered come September.

Chloe’s special ability will be revealed in the May 17 finale. Al Gough told my colleague Rich Sands that Lois “is the key to Chloe’s power manifesting.”

When Clark discovers Lionel threatened to kill him unless Lana married Lex, he goes after Lionel to silence him once and for all. Lana tells Lex she is leaving him, and Martian Manhunter (guest star Phil Morris) makes a return appearance to help Clark stop Lex, who is trying to find the last wraith from the Phantom Zone in order to use its DNA to power his army of super soldiers. Meanwhile, Lois goes to Reeves Dam in search of information about Lex’s secret lab and is brutally stabbed by a security guard. Chloe’s secret power is revealed.

The 4400

Billy Campbell talking about the new season: “We can definitely say that the ante’s being upped.” And new castmember Jenni Baird spills, “Jordan Collier’s on the move—a bit like Aslan. Up until this point we’ve had Jordan Collier and the Promicin phenomenon, and then we’ve had the government agencies, and now they’re introducing a third party . . .”

The New Adventures of Old Christine

The travails of Old Christine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) offer consistent laughs, but the season finale promises plenty of drama. Relationships may end, new ones might begin, and there’ll be a kiss that could change the whole direction of the show. If Old Christine plays her cards right, the sexy Blair Underwood might be involved.

The Sopranos

Expect more pouting from A.J. Also, major, major, Christopher stuff coming up. We’re going to meet his baby girl soon. Plus, there’s some in-fighting, as well as the beef between New Jersey and New York coming to a head.

The Unit

The team returns from a mission and learns that the CIA has been investigating their work for some time. Will they lose their jobs and face criminal charges?

Veronica Mars

Paul Rudd is in the second new episode, and he plays sort of a decrepit, aging rock star who was in a hot band 10 years ago and now has trotted out to tour college campuses just to earn enough money to survive. Piz is the person assigned to guide him through his trip to Hearst College.

There is an episode about a guy who writes a book about his experience of being a child soldier in Uganda.

In the finale, there is the election for sheriff coming up, and Veronica and Keith, they both struggle at the end of the year. There’s a bit of a return to the social status they had in season one, by the end of the year.

Ugly Betty

Someone is going to die in the finale, and it is someone who is a part of Betty’s family. The good news is that in proper soap-tastic fashion, the writers have left a loophole through which they can bring this person back if he or she ultimately decides to return. And based on recent developments, he or she will want to.
