The Spoiler Roundup 04.09.08
April 9th, 2008 | 0 Comments | Email | Share | TweetWelcome to the Spoiler Roundup, the most comprehensive weekly spoiler wrapup on the internet. We scour the web for all the best spoilers on some of the most popular shows on the air. Catch it here every Wednesday at The TV Remote.
This week: Bones, Brothers and Sisters, Desperate Housewives, ER, Grey’s Anatomy, Heroes, Lost, Mad Men, Nip/Tuck, The Office, Ugly Betty and Weeds.
Bones
Get used to the name “Vincent Juarez.” I suspect we may be seeing a lot of him next season. He’s one of Dr. Brennan’s brighter grad students and he’ll be joining the Squints until Brennan can find a new full-time forensic anthropologist. The yet-to-be-cast character loves to lighten the mood in the lab, but he definitely thinks he’s funnier than he actually is. [Michael Ausiello]
Brothers and Sisters
Kevin and Scotty are getting married, mostly because Scotty needs the partner benefits, but also because they are in love. There’s going to be a bachelor party leading up to it, too, so it’s probably not just a City Hall ceremony. [Kristin@E!Online]
Desperate Housewives
Tom and Lynette consult a therapist about Kayla after she convinces the boys to jump off the roof. [Kristin@E!Online]
Gabrielle’s house is a crack den! Actually, she’s just renting a room to a coke dealer, but when she uncovers the boarder’s secret and tries to turn her into the cops, it turns out the cops have already been staking out her house for weeks. Oddly, Carlos and Gaby are not super-duper excited about being in the middle of an undercover drug sting. [Kristin@E!Online]
ER
Abby is most definitely looking for a new job in a different medical facility. [Kristin@E!Online]
Aida Turturro sticks around County General for about three weeks as her character Sheryl’s health steadily declines. I’m hearing she has a very loving husband and son by her side throughout the ordeal. [Kristin@E!Online]
The rumors that Shane West would be returning to the show for two episodes this season are definitely not true. But there’s hope. ER boss John Wells says Shane’s character, double-amputee Dr. Ray Barnett, is absolutely a candidate to return next season! John says: “I love Shane, and we would love to have him come back for some episodes. What we’re doing now is beginning the planning for the final season, which will go on the air next September. And as part of that, we’ll be contacting pretty much everybody, [inviting them] to come back and do a little spin.” Unfortunately, all that is in the works for season 15, and Shane won’t appear in any of the remaining six episodes of season 14. Says John: “We haven’t set anybody that you don’t already know about [for the remainder of this season].” [Kristin@E!Online]
Grey’s Anatomy
Amy Madigan will be playing Meredith’s psychiatrist and, presumably, the catalyst that will bring Mer-Der back together by the finale. [Michael Ausiello]
Heroes
Two new recurring roles are being cast, both of which are slated to debut in the Season 3 premiere. “Joy” is in her early twenties and described as “quick on her feet — and adept at getting herself into and out of trouble.” Senator Robert Malden, meanwhile, is in his fifties and a political straight shooter. [Michael Ausiello]
Lost
The war goes down in the first episode back (April 24) and Jack looks a little messy by episode 10. Also, in the first episode back, there’s a dead body. [Kristin@E!Online]
There are two Australians in the finale. “Donna” is pretty, blond and in her 40s…She has “had to deal with many setbacks in her life but is strong and has persevered. Now [she] has to deliver painful and emotional news.” Could this “Donna” be another relative of Claire’s, like Aunt Lindsey? The other Aussie is called “Millbanks,” and he is described as “30s to 50s, Australian, rugged, smart, works outdoors with his hands. The kind of guy you’d want with you to get out of a tough situation.” Does that description remind anyone else of Ray Mullen, the farmer Kate lived with before she was captured in Australia? Or could Donna and Millbanks even be a couple? The finale also features “Karen Decker,” who is described as “pretty, pleasant and sharp as a whip. She is a leader and quick-witted. Can manage difficult personalities with ease. Can hold sway three people in a room or a hundred in an audience.” [Kristin@E!Online]
Mad Men
Betty starts taking riding lessons, and she’ll make two new friends in the process: Pam, an easily embarrassed married lady, and Arthur, a wealthy suburbanite who has special insight into Betty’s um, inner workings. [Michael Ausiello]
Nip/Tuck
Sharon Gless will be back, and we also meet her poor sister. [Kristin@E!Online]
Someone the guys know and love might have breast cancer. [Kristin@E!Online]
Production on new episodes has already begun, and though Sean may not be in tiptop shape, McNamara/Troy could have their very own Doogie Howser to pick up the slack. Sources say a teenage doctor named Raj infiltrates the boys’ practice and sticks around for quite some time! [Kristin@E!Online]
The Office
Jenna Fischer told Entertainment Weekly that “big stuff happens” for Jim and Pam next Thursday, which, at this point, can only mean one of four things: They’re getting engaged, they’re having sex, they’re eloping or they’re breaking up (again). Naturally, I ran my theory by my Office snitch, who confirmed that one of those four events will indeed take place, but the April 17 episode merely serves as the staging ground. Apparently, the plot is set in motion next week, picks up steam on April 24, and then climaxes on May 1. And to quote Fischer, it definitely qualifies as “big stuff.” [Michael Ausiello]
The Office Spinoff will not revolve around Dwight. According to an insider, the Michael-Dwight dynamic is “too integral to the show.” The likelier scenario, according to a Peacock insider, has Ed Helms’ Andy headlining Office 2.0. “That idea was batted around prior to the strike,” whispers my source, “and NBC seemed interested.” [Michael Ausiello]
Ugly Betty
In an upcoming episode, Betty observes younger versions of some of the people in her life while she’s chaperoning a junior-high dance. [Michael Ausiello]
Weeds
The Botwins are in a new location when we next see them, but not far from their extended family. In addition to meeting Andy’s father (and the boys’ grandfather), we also meet his ailing grandmother—who could kick the bucket at any moment. [Kristin@E!Online]
