Bones

The Bones That Foam – Airing March 12, 2009
A bungee-jumping couple plunges off a bridge on their wedding day only to come face-to-face with a corpse lying at the bottom of a gorge. With the horrified couple’s wedding day ruined, Booth and Brennan hike down the rocky creek bed to examine the corpse and determine that the victim was already dead before he was thrown off of the bridge, thus ruling out suicide. Back at the lab, they notice an unknown substance oozing from the body, throwing the lab into an immediate lockdown. As the victim’s bones continue to foam, the team realizes they have only 24 hours to determine the cause of death before the bones disintegrate completely. The team pieces together the fiancée’s final evening and questions suspects, including Brandon Casey (guest star Chad Lowe) whom Sweets (John Francis Daley) and Angela (Michaela Conlin) hypnotize to help jog his memory. (Fox)

Breaking Bad

In the Bryan Cranston-directed season opener (airing March 8), Walt calculates exactly how many more drug deals he has left as his DEA brother-in-law, Hank, realizes he’s looking for a suspect with “book learnin’ but no street skills.” That is, someone like Walt. Meanwhile, Walt and Jesse’s new partner in meth, Tuco, gets so erratic that the pair resolve to take him down with the aid of some magic beans. OK, they’re not quite “magic.” But special beans. (TV Guide)

We already know that Taylor Swift guest stars on the March 5 episode, but we also learn in the episode that Nick knew her character. The episode starts on his birthday with the discovery of Swift’s corpse, and a good part of the hour is comprised of flashbacks to previous cases (including another one on his birthday) that involved Swift. Poor guy breaks down at the end, thinking he could have prevented her death if only he had tried harder on those other cases. (Michael Ausiello)

Damages

The Patty-Ellen conflict will be “dealt with and exposed” by the end of the season, reveals executive producer Todd Kessler. (Michael Ausiello)

When Susan tries to impress Jessie (Swoosie Kurtz), a teacher at work, Jessie comes away with the wrong impression; with the wrong intent, Gaby convinces Carlos to hire Lynette; as Orson’s shameful habit grows, Bree will protect herself from embarrassment at all costs; and a suspicious Edie slyly digs further into Dave’s past. (ABC)

Dollhouse

Did you know that the Dolls can be remotely deactivated via telephone? Well, it’s possible, it happens, and it’s bad news for Echo (Eliza Dushku). Who makes the call? Clues point to the mysterious active known only as Alpha. And guess who’ll be playing him? Alan Tudyk. (Watch With Kristin)

Gray Hour

Clooney and Margulies shot for two days. Their scenes will apparently be seen in the series finale. Doug Ross and Carol Hathaway will interact with the Parminder Nagra and Linda Cardellini characters. The Rosses apparently have twin girls in the fourth grade.

Shane West’s second episode airs March 19, and Ray’s return “disrupts Neela’s equilibrium.” (Michael Ausiello)

Carter was definitely hooked up to a dialysis machine—not a chemotherapy machine or some other device, which I would say means his prognosis is better than average, at least. (Watch With Kristin)

Ghost Whisperer

Executive producer P.K. Simonds teases that “the rest of our season isn’t about death – it’s about new life. [That] isn’t to say, in a show called Ghost Whisperer, that no one will die,” he quickly clarifies. “Obviously, people will die – including someone close to one of our main characters.” (Michael Ausiello)

(Watch With Kristin)

House

The last four episodes of the season, Chase and Cameron are going to have a larger part. (Michael Ausiello)

There is a big Robert Sean Leonard episode coming up on March 9 when Wilson tracks down his mentally ill, homeless brother. With Taub’s assistance, Wilson gets his brother back on his meds and into an institution – but he does so behind House’s back. At least he tries to do it behind his back. (Michael Ausiello)

The Social Contract – Airing March 9, 2009
House and the team take on the case of Nick (The Shield’s Jay Karnes), a book editor who loses his inhibition and starts insulting coworkers at a dinner party one night before falling ill. The team realizes Nick has frontal lobe inhibition, which has caused him to lose his filter and vocalize all of his innermost thoughts, resulting in extremely insulting outbursts. As Nick’s free speech lends to some amusing and insightful comments regarding the team, he must deal with the consequences of being unable to lie to his wife and everyone else important in his life. Meanwhile, House suspects Wilson and Taub are keeping something from him when he catches them both in a lie. House is determined to get to the bottom of it. (Michael Ausiello)

AnnaLynne McCord says Eden will be back on Nip/Tuck: “I have one more episode airing that I’ve shot so far, and then I don’t know what’s next for it, but I don’t fall off, so you never know, I could come back…The last episode I’m with Kimber and Ram. I’m pretty mean. That’s all I’m going to say.” (Watch With Kristin)

Numbers

Gina Gershon guest-stars in the March 13 episode as Danielle Hill, the lead detective when a crime boss is accused of killing a district attorney. (TV Guide)

Prison Break

Ausiello is teasing that the last scene will be a flash forward that shows us Michael, Sara, and their child living happily ever after in some remote location. (Michael Ausiello)

Pushing Daisies

As a regular episode of Pushing Daisies, the final episode of the series was an absolute triumph. The main plot pits Vivian and Lily against their old synchronized swimming rivals, The Aqua Dolls (played by Wendy Malick and Nora Dunn). Highlights include Jaws-themed scene transitions that are a perfect blend of cheese and cheesier, a cameo by a very grown up Wilson Cruz, and an unrecognizable Josh Hopkins as the Aqua’s bleach-blond manager. Now, as a satisfying conclusion to the series, the episode falls a little short – but through no fault of Bryan Fuller and his extraordinary team. Remember, this was never intended to be a series finale. Fuller had to piece together a prologue using existing footage and some well-placed CGI, and the finished product is pretty amazing. (Michael Ausiello)

Samantha Who

Billy Zane is about to change everything! Christina Applegate says, “[He] comes and causes a lot of confusion for everybody. That whole arc was five episodes, and it’s quite good. Because of him, it changes the course of who she is. As we come into the third season, which we hope we get, everything will be different.” (Watch With Kristin)

All principal cast members appear to be signed on for next season, with one possible exception: Sam Witwer (Doomsday). (Michael Ausiello)

Sons of Anarchy

Show runner Kurt Sutter just posted on his blog about season two: “This season is all about alliances. We are going to explore and exploit the bonds we have with our brothers, our family, our country and our god. As I was writing this first script, I smiled when I realized that I get to channel all my twisted Catholic angst into a show about men who play God.” (Watch With Kristin)

Supernatural

Dean and Bobby are going to stage an intervention on Sam for just that and keep him prisoner. (Watch With Kristin)

Lilith will likely raise her adorable little demonic head again in episode 20. Supernatural is casting for a suddenly possessed cutie 11-year-old who turns into an evil ice queen. (Watch With Kristin)

(Fox)

Carrie Preston about a possible romance between Arlene and Terry: “I can’t really give away too much, but what I can say is that Arlene is not the type of woman who can be alone for very long.” (SpoilerTV)

Carrie Preston on Season 2: “And without giving away anything, I can say that season 2 really strays far away from the second book, hardly anything like it. It’s just so far out there with more characters and going in different directions. Not much like the book at all.” [And that's a bad thing, the second book is a great book] (SpoilerTV)

United States of Tara

After last week’s appearance of the urinating fourth alter, Max (John Corbett) turns to Tara’s therapist for advice. According to her, this new alter, or “poncho goblin” as Max calls it, may be a huge step in helping Tara discover why she developed disassociative identity disorder in the first place. (Watch With Kristin)

Marshall will turn to Kate for some sisterly advice when he still can’t figure out if his crush Jason is gay or not. (Watch With Kristin)

Without A Trace

Poppy Montgomery (Sam), teases an upcoming plot twist: “All I can say is that something happens to Samantha, Jack (Anthony LaPaglia), and Brian (Adam Kaufman) that throws [the love triangle] into a tailspin,” she teases. “It’s shocking, it’s disturbing, it comes out of nowhere, and it changes everything for these characters.” (Michael Ausiello)
