Officially, Lonny Ross, who plays the impression-happy comic, is still considered a cast member and (theoretically) will recur on the series. But sources say that there’s an effort afoot to steer 30 Rock away from the show-within-a-show, which will necessitate the pruning of several players. [TV Guide]

Battlestar Galactica

We’ll find out who the final cylon is before the series finale. In fact, they said many of the show’s major questions will be answered before the final episode. [Korbi TV]

The tenth and final episode does actually stretches three hours. Sci Fi hasn’t yet decided if they will chop it up into two installments for its original airing, but Moore and Eick said there are plans to air it in its entirety at least once. [Korbi TV]

Laurence Fishburne’s intriguing Dr. Raymond Langston may visit Miami. David Caruso talks about the possibility, “I talked to [Fishburne] the other night, and he’s said he’s open to [a crossover].” Adds Caruso, “I’ve been on all three CSIs, and I take that as a badge of honor. The [crossovers] really work, so I hope we get to do one.” [Watch With Kristin]

P. Diddy’s guest spot is set to air on February 9. Diddy plays a lawyer who goes head-to-head with Horatio (David Caruso). Says Diddy, “I’m a very, very wise lawyer. I understand the law, understand how it works, its imperfections, its limitations, and I know how to use them to my advantage. I know how to work the system. I’m just a very know-it-all, arrogant lawyer.” So who will win the battle of Caine v. Combs? “At the end of the day, it’s his show, so at the end of the day he’s going to win, but I’m giving him a run for his money as far as being his nemesis,” adds Diddy. [Watch With Kristin]

Damages

Executive Producer Todd Kessler says we will not have to wait until the season finale to find out who Ellen shot: “It will be revealed before the end of the season who’s sitting in the chair [opposite Ellen], but events unfold in very unexpected ways.” [Watch With Kristin]

As for Ellen’s love life, her new guy, Wes (Timothy Olyphant), is not what he seems. [Watch With Kristin]

Grey’s Anatomy

This week, when Izzie finally tells Alex that she’s been “seeing” Denny, he won’t really get it and sort of blow it off. But the seriousness of Dr. Stevens’ situation is going to become painfully clear sooner rather than later. [Korbi TV]

Eric Stoltz talking about his upcoming turn on the show: “My character’s name is William Dunn, and he’s a death-row inmate who came to be at Seattle Grace by the fact that he has a shiv shoved in his back during a fight in the prison yard. The nature of his crime is actually revealed in the show that airs on Thursday night, so I would hate to give it away right now.” [Watch With Kristin]

Life On Mars

Producers are casting the never-before-seen wife of Michael Imperioli’s cop. [Michael Ausiello]

Lost

There would be flashbacks and that flash-forwards would not be as prominent this season, but in the first hour of the premiere, we see a past and present Desmond. [Watch With Kristin]

Ben Linus is many things, but he is not a drug-addiction enabler, and with Ben’s “help” Jack seems to be getting off the junk. Oh, and Ben seems to imply that if Jack goes back to the Island he’ll never be able to return to the real world. [Watch With Kristin]

The first two episodes are dotted with cameos and extended cameos from peripheral but important figures crucial to the Lost mythology and much-loved by the Lost fan community. A polarizing character from Lost’s past returns, earns some redemption by participating with wit and humility, and delivers one of the best lines of either episode. [PopWatch]

It certainly looks like a female cast-member isn’t long for this world. The fact that she was recently cast in a big Hollywood movie doesn’t bode well either. [Michael Ausiello]

NCIS

In a February episode, Gibbs puts Tony in charge of the team when a case he once worked on gets reactivated. [Michael Ausiello]

One Tree Hill

Pushing Daisies

ABC is contractually obligated to air the remaining episodes, but they might burn them all off in a one-night marathon. [TV Guide]

Smallville

Tom Welling is nearing a deal to return for a ninth season. [Michael Ausiello]

Stargate Atlantis

The finale sets up the future of the Stargate universe nicely. The legend of Atlantis comes from the stories of the ‘Ancients’ who fled to Earth after being defeated by the Wraith in the battle for survival. However, although the city of Atlantis wasn’t originally on Earth, it will be in the last episode! [Watch With Kristin]

Supernatural

There is a traitor amongst Sam and Dean. [Michael Ausiello]

The possible third Winchester brother has not been cast, but we’ll start hearing rumblings of another son courtesy of Dean and Sam’s father John Winchester, aka Jeffrey Dean Morgan, this season. [Watch With Kristin]

Alastair will return later this season, but in a new, nastier form. [Watch With Kristin]

True Blood

Alan Ball talking about the second season of HBO’s hit show: “Lafayette did die in the books.” But, he adds, “That doesn’t mean he won’t be back. Anything’s possible.” [Michael Ausiello]
[Editors Note: yeah stray from the books and ruin the mythology more than you already have - the books tell great stories and the lame additions to the first season really doesn't do the material justice.]

The mystery surrounding who (or what) Maryann is will play out front and center in season 2 – and you may not find many clues in the books. “She’s definitely a new kind of supernatural creature in Bon Temps,” teases Alan Ball. And as new as “it” is, it’s also old. “Ancient. Ancient,” Ball stresses. [Michael Ausiello]
[Editors Note: In the books this character doesn't show up until the second book when she attacks Sookie. And she doesn't meet Tara until the end of the book. The changes already made to this character change the fundemental storyline about Lafayette in the second book. Ball is making changes that will reverberate through the whole series.]

Ugly Betty

Marc’s getting a new roommate . . . but the show isn’t adding any new cast-members. [Michael Ausiello]

In the next episode, Marc wants in to a Wilhelmina party, and he will do anything to get in—including stoop to working with Betty. [Watch With Kristin]

  1. Morjana says:

Whether the city of Atlantis was originally from Earth is open to debate. In the premiere episode of “Stargate Atlantis,” the city of Atlantis is seen LEAVING Earth … in the far distant past of Earth’s history.
