The CW Announces 2008-2009 Fall Lineup
May 13th, 2008 | 9 Comments | Email | Share | TweetThe CW is leaving Monday and Thursday nights intact, while adding only three new series to its weeknight schedule: the Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff; drama Surviving the Filthy Rich; and reality show Stylista. Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill will keep their Monday slots at 8 and 9 PM, respectively, while Smallville will continue to lead in to Supernatural on Thursday nights. Tuesday night will feature the all-new lineup of 90210 at 8 PM, leading into Filthy Rich. On Wednesdays, Ameica’s Next Top Model is staying at 8 PM, followed by Stylista, a reality show from the creators of “Model” and “Project Runway” that will feature contestants competing for an editorial job with Elle magazine.
Comedies Everybody Hates Chris and The Game will relocate from Sundays to Fridays, filling part of the void that will be left after WWE SmackDown’s move to MyNetworkTV. The comedies will air from 8-9 PM, followed by a repeat of America’s Next Top Model. As previously announced, the CW has partnered up with Media Rights Capital to program its Sunday primetime programming block next season. Details are yet to be announced.
Reaper will return at midseason.

The cw is making a bad mistake Fridays belong to cbs.So the cw will lose a lot of viewers and cause good written shows to lose ratings.On fridays I watch Ghost Whisper.So I wont have time to watch The Game.Which is also one of my favorite shows.Sombody at CW really needs to get it together.Also a lot of viewers or out on Fridays.What they need to do is give one of there stupid shows to fridays like 90210 and have a wonderful written show like the game and everybody hates chris on a day when someone will actually be home to view it.
Are you trying to get the Game and Every one Hates Chris Canceled on purpose!
What they are doing to The Game is crazy. First they rush the season finale. Now they are moving it to a new day and time AGAIN. Seriously, just say you dont want the shows anymore CW execs. Everybody Hates Chris is fab and The Game is a must see for me. And lets not mention budget cuts. ATTN executive producers of The Game: sell the show to another network. You are not valued for your true worth. Those actors are great.
I agree with kizzie, the majority of the Games viewers are young, and they are out partying on a Friday night. You are doing the same thing to the Game that you did to Girlfriends; setting it up to fail, and it isn’t right. Stop moving the show around so much!!!
Obviously shows with a large black following are not valued on this network! The Game is one of my favorite and it needs to be aired on a better night!
This is wack it’s obvios CW don’t want no black people on there network think about it EVE was very good what happened axed…The Girlfriends really good ratings..what happened axed. CW is wack with all the fake ass white people.
Wonderlful mommy, I guess I am what you call “fake ass white people”, since I am white. I loved Girlfriends, and The Game, along with what I suppose you call “black programming.” I don’t watch shows because the actors are black or white. I watch them because of their quality. CW has consistently developed quality programming and then axed those same programs. Why? My guess is because sponsors direct advertising to specific age groups which are not the target audience of quality programming. It is shameful, but television is not about entertainment, it is strictly a marketing tool.
I don’t know what you guys are doing with The Game.I honestly think that the producers are wasting time & money on this show. Girlfriends was so much more meaninful with life lessons and other things that are morally sound. It was full of laughter,drama filled, exciting, and always leaving u wanting more. Wendy Raquel is fabulous and should have just take Tony’s character and continued on with the show. Can we get Girlfriends back on the network please?
