The Casting Call brings together the latest casting news to keep you informed on who is showing up on which show. Find out who is joining your favorite show as a series regular, a recurring character, a guest star or special cameo. The Casting Call could reveal upcoming story-lines, so be aware, there may be spoilers ahead.

True Blood (HBO)
After a slew of recent castings, True Blood showrunner Alan Ball has found his next werewolf. Joe Manganiello has been cast in the recurring role of Alcide Herveaux. In the third book, Club Dead, Eric enlists Alcide to help Sookie search for Bill after he disappears. Ball hasn’t said if the show will follow that storyline.

Community (NBC)
Jack Black has signed on to guest in a January episode of the Chevy Chase/Joel McHale comedy Community. No word on if Black will play himself or a character. Black is not the only big name appearing on the show. Another actor, best known for his comedy hits at the box office, will be making a cameo in the same episode.

Jack and Dan (Fox)
Jenny Wade is set to co-star opposite Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford on Matt Nix’s new Fox series. The 13-episode Jack and Dan, from Fox TV Studios, centers on Jack (Hanks), an ambitious, by-the-book detective in a dead-end post at the LAPD who is partnered with Dan (Whitford), a drunken, lecherous cop who hangs onto his job only because of a heroic act years before. Wade will play Liz, a tough and quick-witted assistant district attorney who used to date Jack and is now in frequent work-related contact with him.

NCIS (CBS)
Joe Lando has landed a guest role on NCIS. He will play Lt. Cmdr. Rob Clarke who is a teacher in a U.S. military flight training program. He will appear in NCIS’ 150th episode, Flesh and Bone, airing on CBS January 12.

Robert Wagner will also appear in the 150th episode. He will play Anthony DiNozzo, Sr., father of Tony (Michael Weatherly). He’ll get involved with a case concerning an assassination plot against a prince (Amir Arison). The elder DiNozzo’s link will cause Gibbs to doubt whether Tony can remain impartial in the investigation.

Ugly Betty
The ABC comedy has signed a deal with Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson to reprise his season 1 role as Betty’s orthodontist. Ferguson returns in the January 6 episode, the show’s first in its new Wednesday at 10:00 PM/ET time-slot following The Middle, Ferguson’s Modern Family and Cougar Town.

Undercovers (NBC)
Gerald McRaney is the first actor cast in J.J. Abrams’ pilot. Undercovers, a mix between Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Bourne Identity, revolves around spouses Samantha and Steven Bloom, who work together as spies. McRaney will play their boss, a CIA operative who recruited the couple and serves as the agency’s liaison with then.
