Greek (ABC Family)
Lea Thompson has been cast in a guest role. She will play Cappie’s free-spirited mother, April, while Jim Abele will play his non-conformist father, Tobias. Meeting his parents will have a big impact on Casey. The modern-day hippies will appear during the second half of the show’s upcoming season premiering January 25.
Nip/Tuck (FX)
Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) has landed a guest role. He will play a convicted murderer named Wesley Clovis, who is on death row waiting to get executed. He’s gained a tremendous amount of weight in prison. McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Troy (Julian McMahon) are called in to cut away layers of extra flesh before Clovis is due in the death chamber. Stonestreet will appear in the season 6 finale scheduled to air December 16.
Three Rivers (CBS)
Oded Fehr (The Mummy) has joined the CBS medical drama for a two episode arc. He will play the charming Dr. Luc, a heart surgeon returning to Three Rivers after working abroad. Expect him to clash with Alex O’Loughlin’s Dr. Yablonksi. Fehr’s two episodes are scheduled to air sometime in early 2010.
Vampire Diaries (The CW)
James Remar (Dexter) has been cast in a recurring role. He will play Stefan and Damon’s father, described as “an aristocrat from the Civil War era.” He’s currently scheduled to appear in at least one episode.
