Better Off Ted (ABC)
Eddie McClintock has signed on for a guest role. He will play Ted’s brother, Billy. A fast-talking salesman type, Billy brings chaos into Ted’s life and proves to be a bad influence on Lem and Phil. He is shooting the episode this week.
Boardwalk Empire (HBO)
Gretchen Mol (Life On Mars) has joined the show in a recurring role as a showgirl.
Modern Family
Fred Willard (Back to You) has signed on to guest star on an upcoming episode. He will play the father to Ty Burrell’s Phil. Willards episode should air sometime later this year.
Rex Is Not Your Lawyer (NBC)
Abigail Spencer has been cast to co-star in NBC’s drama pilot. Spencer will play Lindsey Steers, an ambitious lawyer at Rex’s law firm who also is his fiancee.
The Middle (ABC)
Brooke Shields has signed on for a guest role. She is playing a neighbor-nemesis of Patricia Heaton’s harried middle-class mom. She’s a single mother with four sons that terrorize the neighborhood. Everyone wants to stay on her good side. Patricia’s character tries to keep the peace. Shields episode is scheduled to air in January 2010.
