Lie To Me (Fox)
Lennie James has been cast as Dr. Cal Lightman nemesis, Ray Marsh. The character, who will be introduced in this season’s fifth episode, is described as a charming Brit who ran scams with Lightman way back when and who is now on the FBI and Scotland Yard watch lists. Ray once took the fall for Lightman and spent time in prison as a result. Now, after a 20-year estrangement, Ray is back to collect what he believes he is owed.
The Beautiful Life (The CW)
Ed Quinn, who recently played Stan this season on True Blood, is now heading to New York City to be a part of the CW’s upcoming drama The Beautiful Life. Quinn plays Elle Macpherson’s husband. For her part, Elle plays Claudia Foster, a former supermodel who now runs the modeling agency that represents the lead characters, Sara Paxton’s Raina Mayer and Ben Hollingsworth’s Chris Andrews.
Billy Magnussen will guest-star in multiple episodes as the brother of Raina (Sara Paxton). His arc will offer clues to the checkered past of Raina’s family, which might explain why she decided to leave home to become a model at the tender age of 15. But older bro will also affect Raina’s present when he gets close to one of her housemates.
The Closer (TNT)
Beau Bridges will guest-star in one episode of the TNT cop drama. Bridges will play George Andrews, a former partner of Provenza (G.W. Bailey). Andrews returns to help close a case that has been turned over on appeal.
