Burn Notice (USA)
Ben Shenkman as been cast for the third season as the man who can make Michael’s burn notice disappear forever. Shenkman will play the recurring role of Tom Strickler, a smooth-talking, gregarious freelance spy broker who offers to cancel Michael’s (Jeffrey Donovan) burn notice in exchange for an unspecified and potentially lethal job. Shenkman’s signed for a minimum of four episodes, the first of which will air midway through the show’s third season (debuting in June).

Ace In The Hole (CBS)
Pamela Adlon has been cast to star opposite Adam Carolla on the CBS comedy pilot Ace in the Hole. The show is a family comedy starring Carolla as a husband and father who works as a driving instructor. Adlon will play his caring wife, a nurse and mother of two. For the past three seasons, Adlon has been a regular on Showtime’s Californication. She is poised to move to “Ace” if it’s picked up to series.

Rick Springfield has signed on to play himself in four episodes of Californication. Producers of the Showtime dramedy put out a casting call looking for an actor who experienced huge fame in the 80’s to play themselves as a now down-on his-luck-ex-celebrity waiting tables to get by.

Untitled Elmore Leonard Pilot (FX)
Timothy Olyphant has been cast as the lead in FX’s drama pilot based on Elmore Leonard’s short story Fire in the Hole. The untitled project, from Sony TV,Timberman/Beverly Prods. and creator/executive producer Graham Yost, centers on U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Olyphant) who returns to his hometown in Kentucky.
