Ace In The Hole (CBS)
Skylar Astin and Darien Provost have joined CBS’ Adam Carolla-starring comedy Ace in the Hole.

Californication (Showtime)
Kathleen Turner is joining Showtime’s Californication for a multi-episode arc during the show’s upcoming third season. Turner will play the ball-breaking, foul-mouthed, outrageous boss of Evan Handler’s literary agent. Season three of Californication is slated to debut next fall.

Happiness Isn’t Everything (CBS)
Mary Steenburgen is set to star opposite Jason Biggs and Richard Dreyfuss on Mitch Hurwitz’s CBS comedy pilot Happiness Isn’t Everything. The show revolves around adult siblings (Biggs, Ben Schwartz) and their parents (Dreyfuss, Steenburgen) who are overly involved in one another’s lives. The mom Audrey is described as “pully” to the dad’s “pushy” and unbelievably sensitive.

State of Romance (NBC)
Bobby Lee has been added to NBC’s comedy State of Romance.

The Mentalist (CBS)
Alicia Witt will guest star in the season finale of The Mentalist as Rosalind Harker, a luminously beautiful piano player who used to date Red John.

Waiting To Die (CBS)
T.J. Miller and Nick Thune have landed the two leads on CBS’ comedy pilot Waiting to Die. The show is a buddy comedy about two simple guys (Miller, Thune) who are happy with their lives – no matter how bad things might look from the outside.

Untitled Anita Renfroe Pilot (ABC)
Ryan Stiles will star opposite Christian comedian Anita Renfroe in her untitled comedy pilot for ABC. The Renfroe comedy is a parenting show about a couple (Renfroe, Stiles) raising their kids.

Untitled Justin Adler Pilot (NBC)
Leslie Bibb and John Michael Higgins have been cast as leads on NBC’s untitled Justin Adler comedy pilot. The show revolves around adult siblings and their controlling mother. Bibb, most recently seen in Confessions of a Shopaholic, will play the oldest sibling, a perfect domestic goddess. Higgins will play her husband, a wealthy professional polo player. For Higgins, the casting is in second position to the NBC comedy Kath & Kim, which appears unlikely to return.
