Cougar Town (ABC)
Bill Lawrence has tapped his real-life wife, Christa Miller, to join the cast of his ABC comedy pilot, Cougar Town. Miller will play Courteney Cox’s best friend.
CSI: New York (CBS)
The show has signed Ed Asner to appear in a late April episode. He’ll play a clockmaker who’s trying to keep a lid on his mysterious past.
Medium (NBC)
Angelica Huston is being summoned back to Medium to reprise her role as Allison’s ex-boss, Cynthia Keener, later this season. Additionally, Arrested Development patriarch Jeffrey Tambor will play a mysterious man who shows up at the Dubois house in a May episode.
Melrose Place (The CW)
Katie Cassidy, the daughter of David Cassidy, is the first female resident moving into the CW’s new Melrose Place. On Melrose Place, to be directed by David Guggenheim, Cassidy will play the sexy and stylish Ella Flynn, an up-and-coming publicist with a big career ahead of her. She joins Michael Rady, who was cast as aspiring filmmaker Jonah Miller.
Stargate Universe (SciFi Channel)
Christopher McDonald has joined the cast of Stargate Universe. Producer Joseph Mallozzi revealed on his blog McDonald would be joining the cast as the guest character Senator Armstrong in the premiere episode.
The Closer (TNT)
The show is adding some new blood in its fifth season. Producers are casting the possibly recurring role of Mikki, a lesbian cop who clashes with Brenda (Kyra Sedgwick). And by clashes I mean they make out! (Just kidding. I think.)
US Attorney (CBS)
Melissa George has nabbed the female lead in the CBS drama pilot US Attorney. She’ll play Susan, ADA and ex-wife to the section chief (played by Michael Lange). Attorney centers around a team of federal prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s office in Manhattan.
Dean Winter Coming Back To Several Shows
Dean Winters will be reprising roles on four shows: 30 Rock, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Life on Mars and Rescue Me. He was also just cast in the ABC drama pilot Happy Town.
