Community (NBC)
Joel McHale has been cast as the lead on NBC’s comedy pilot Community. The show is described as Stripes in a community college and centers on Jeff (McHale), a lawyer who is back at school after his college degree is deemed invalid.
Eastwick (ABC)
Jaime Ray Newman has landed one of the three leads in ABC’s drama pilot Eastwick, with Veronica Cartwright, who co-starred in the 1987 feature The Witches of Eastwick, also cast in a supporting role. Loosely based on the theatrical feature, Eastwick follows three young witches who come into their powers. Newman will play one of them, Kat, a good-natured nurse and a mom of five kids.
Happy Town (ABC)
Dean Winters has been cast in ABC drama pilot Happy Town. In the mystery Happy Town, about a small town rattled by the return of a serial kidnapper, Winters will play a man whose daughter was kidnapped years ago.
Law and Order: Criminal Intent (USA Network)
Raul Esparza has booked a role that starts shooting next week. He’ll play a shady district attorney in a Goren-centric episode.
Law and Order: Special Victims (NBC)
Cicely Tyson will guest-star on an upcoming episode. Tyson will play Ondine, a preacher’s wife who works with her husband to relocate former child soldiers from Africa to the U.S. to help them escape their violent lives. Benson and Stabler meet Ondine when one of the children is brutally attacked. Ondine’s husband has yet to be cast.
Numbers (CBS)
Henry Winker is reprising his role as Agent Bloom on Numb3rs later this season.
See Cate Run (ABC)
Liza Lapira and Marc Blucas have joined ABC’s drama pilot See Cate Run. The show centers on C.C. (Amy Smart), a young prosecuting attorney who one day is going to be a serious contender for U.S. president. Lapira (”21″) will play an attorney who works with C.C. and is her roommate. Blucas will play a legendary campaign guru who sees C.C.’s potential.
Trauma (NBC)
Aimee Garcia has joined NBC drama pilot Trauma. On the medical drama, Garcia will play the newest member of an EMT team.
Untitled Daniel Cerone Pilot (ABC)
Jimmy Wolk has landed the lead in ABC’s untitled Daniel Cerone pilot. The Cerone project, from ABC Studios, centers on a low-level detective (Wolk) whose genius 11-year-old brother helps him solve crimes.
Washington Field (CBS)
Matthew Yang King has been added to CBS drama Washington Field. On CBS’ Washington Field, about an elite FBI team, King will play the team’s bomb expert.
