Eleventh Hour (CBS)
Producers are adding a new agent later this season played by Omar Benson Miller. His character, an FBI trainee named Felix, is eager to join Agent Young’s team. Miller is booked for a minimum of three episodes.
Grey’s Anatomy (ABC)
Faye Dunaway, who hasn’t taken a television role since a 2006 episode of CSI, has signed on for at least one episode of Grey’s Anatomy to air in February. She’ll play a renowned doc torat the hospital who crosses paths with the Chief, Cristina and Owen.
Heroes (NBC)
Swoosie Kurtz is reuniting with her former Pushing Daisies boss, Bryan Fuller, on Heroes. The actress has signed a deal to guest star in an April episode of Heroes written by Bryan Fuller. “Bryan wrote the part specifically for her,” says Kurtz’ spokesperson of her character, Millie, an old society friend of Angela Petrelli’s. Kurtz is signed for one episode, but there’s definite recurring potential.
Light Years (The CW)
Shiri Appleby, Kristoffer Polaha and Kerr Smith have been cast in The CW’s hourlong pilot Light Years. The dramedy centers on foster kid Lux (Brittany Robertson) who, on her 16th birthday, tracks down her slacker biological father, bar owner Nick “Baze” Basile (Polaha), and her mother, morning radio host Cate Campbell (Appleby), who haven’t spoken since high school when their one-night stand resulted in pregnancy. Smith plays Ryan, Campbell’s boyfriend and co-host on the show.
NCIS (CBS)
Producers are introducing Director Vance’s (Rocky Carroll) never-before-seen wife and children later this season. Casting is underway.
Numbers (CBS)
Ray Wise is set to guest on a February ep of Numb3rs. He’ll play a jury consultant for a defendant which Robin, Don and co. are trying to convict of murder.
True Blood (HBO)
The show is resurrecting Sookie’s Gram played by Lois Smith in season 2. Smith will appear in newly-created flashback scenes.
