Piper Perabo has been cast in USA Network’s spy thriller Covert Affairs. Written by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, the show centers on Annie Walker (Perabo), a CIA trainee who speaks six languages and excels at any endeavor she undertakes. Walker joins the CIA while still reeling over a mysterious ex-boyfriend who appears to be of particular interest to her new bosses. She vows never to let herself be hurt again, but that proves to be a tall order.

Swimsuit supermodel Brooklyn Decker and House star Peter Jacobson are set to play mismatched newlyweds on USA Networks’ Royal Pains. In the July 30 episode, Decker plays swimsuit model Rachel, while Jacobson is Alan, her husband. When Alan’s allergies threaten to turn the couple’s dreamy Hamptons honeymoon into a nightmare, it’s Mark Feuerstein’s Dr. Hank to the rescue! Figuring out what is wrong with Alan proves to be far easier said than done. Also guest starring in this episode is Oz alum Lee Tergesen, who plays an artist.

Psych Lands Sendhil Ramamurthy For Guest Spot

Sendhil Ramamurthy has signed on for an episode of Psych. Ramamurthy will play Raj, a young man who believes that the firstborn in each generation of his family is cursed, a belief reinforced by the fact that bad things keep happening to all of his girlfriends. He joins Jay Chandrasekhar who is playing Jay, Raj’s cousin who is directing a Bollywood-style play at the local theater and engaged to be married. They are both appearing in one episode title “Bollywood Homicide, with Chandrasekhar most likely directing the episode.

Boardwalk Empire (HBO)
Michael Kenneth Williams, Dabney Coleman and Paz de la Huerta have joined the cast of HBO’s Martin Scorsese-directed drama pilot. Written by Terence Winter and to be directed by Scorsese, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire chronicles the early 20th century origins of Atlantic City and revolves around Nucky Johnson (Steve Buscemi), who runs a liquor-distribution ring, and Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt), his ruthless flunky.

De la Huerta will play Lucy, Nucky’s girlfriend, a hot party girl. Williams will play Chalky White, the defacto “mayor” of Chickenbone Beach, Atlantic City’s black section. He’s an intelligent ex-boxer and confidant of Nucky’s who rules his community with an iron fist. Coleman will play the Commodore Kaestner, Nucky’s predecessor and mentor.

Ben Shenkman as been cast for the third season as the man who can make Michael’s burn notice disappear forever. Shenkman will play the recurring role of Tom Strickler, a smooth-talking, gregarious freelance spy broker who offers to cancel Michael’s (Jeffrey Donovan) burn notice in exchange for an unspecified and potentially lethal job. Shenkman’s signed for a minimum of four episodes, the first of which will air midway through the show’s third season (debuting in June).
