USA Network has hired John McNamara to overhaul In Plain Sight and serve as the show’s new showrunner. This will be the first time McNamara has run a show that he didn’t create himself. His past credits also include The Fugitive and Eyes. He has more recently consulted on several shows, including Jericho. McNamara replaces former showrunner David Maples, who created the show and will continue to receive a consultant credit. Also departing the show and getting a consultant credit is executive producer Paul Stupin.

Peter Gallagher has been cast to co-star on USA Network’s pilot Covert Affairs. The show centers on Annie Walker (Piper Perabo), a multilingual CIA trainee who joins the agency while reeling over a mysterious ex-boyfriend who appears to be of particular interest to her bosses. Gallagher will play CIA director Arthur Campbell, a regal man and former Naval officer who loves a good fight, great scotch and a filthy joke.

Hrach Titizian will play Nabeel, the second-in-command of security for President Hassan (Anil Kapoor). Titizian also appeared on 24 in 2007.
