A&E has decided not to renew the drama series The Cleaner for a third season says the Hollywood Reporter. The show’s 13-episode second season concluded earlier this month. The Cleaner, starring Bratt as a real-life extreme interventionist, marked A&E’s first scripted series in more than six years when it debuted in July 2008.

A&E has renewed the freshman drama, The Cleaner, for a 13-episode second season reports Michael Ausiello. The series, which stars Benjamin Bratt as an extreme interventionist who goes around helping folks kick their addictions, averaged a weekly audience of 4.2 million viewers “The Cleaner has struck a chord with A&E viewers,” declared A&E prez Bob DeBitetto. “It is exactly the sort of high quality, engaging programming that our fans have come to expect.”
