SciFi announced their 2009 Summer lineup which includes the return of Eureka and Ghost Hunters International. The channel previously announced the July 7 premiere of its new series Warehouse 13, which will debut with a two-hour premiere starting at 9 pm. The second half of Eureka’s third season will return on July 10. The show will move to Fridays at 9 pm ET/PT from its previous Tuesday timeslot.
Eureka returns with 10 new episodes, picking up where it left off, with Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) being removed from his job as Eureka’s sheriff and Allison announcing that she is expecting her recently deceased husband’s baby. Carter is also confronted by some challenging decisions on the home front where his daughter Zoe is concerned and encounters a new love interest with the arrival of Dr. Tess Fontana (guest star Jaime Ray Newman), who will supervise the re-opening of Global Dynamics’ infamous “Section 5.”

Sci Fi Channel has ordered Unfinished Business, a drama about an ex-cop who starts seeing flashes of memories from the recently deceased. The visions compel him to help wronged souls resolve their unfinished business. The network plans to air Unfinished Business as a two-hour movie that will also serve as a potential series pilot.
Unfinished Business is being produced through Overbrook Entertainment, with Will Smith, James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz executive producing. Emmy-nominated scribe Sally Robinson will write the pilot, and Emmy winner Mikael Salomon is attached to direct. Both also will serve as executive producers. The project will be produced by Universal Cable Productions, with Overbrook head Heather Courtney overseeing production.

Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks and Gary Jones, will reprise their roles in guest spots on SciFi’s most recent spin-off, Stargate Universe. The show stars Robert Carlyle, Lou Diamond Phillips and Ming-Na as part of a group of survivors aboard an ancient ship who are unable to return to Earth.
Anderson plays General O’Neil, the former leader of the elite military team SG-1. Tapping plays Samantha Carter, an astrophysicist and U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel. Shanks plays Dr. Daniel Jackson, Stargate’s archeologist and linguist. Jones plays Chief Master Sgt. Walter Harriman, commander technician of the team.

Ed Quinn has been cast in HBO’s True Blood in a recurring role. On the Southern vampire drama series, Quinn will play Stan, a powerful vampire from Texas. Quinn currently plays Nathan Stark on the SciFi Channel series Eureka, which is set to return for the second-half of its third season in July of 2009.
True Blood, created by Alan Ball, is based on the Sookie Stackhouse book series (also known as The Southern Vampire Mysteries) by Charlaine Harris. True Blood details the co-existence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps, a fictional small northern Louisiana town. The series centers on Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress at a bar, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).

Allison Scagliotti (Drake & Josh) has been cast in Warehouse 13, the upcoming SCI FI original series. She joins previously announced cast members Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek and CCH Pounder. Warehouse 13 will premiere July 7 with a two-hour pilot, starting at 9 pm ET/PT. Scagliotti will portray Claudia Donovan, a young, hip, brilliant techno whiz who manages to successfully breach the Warehouse’s complex security system in order to track down Artie (Rubinek). Donovan’s natural aptitude for science and technology enables her to manipulate and activate many of the objects contained in the Warehouse to help the team.
