Cold Case (CBS)
Bobby Cannavale is returning to Cold Case. Cannavale will reprise his role of Detective Eddie Saccardo for at least three episodes, starting with the third episode of the upcoming season. Lilly turns to her former lover in a time of need – this despite the fact that Saccardo is still undercover and close to cracking his big narcotics case.
Glee (Fox)
Eve has just signed a deal to appear in two episodes as a no-nonsense girls’ choir director from a rival school. Glee producers were considering Whitney Houston for the part. But when she turned it down, Eve signed on.
Melrose Place (The CW)
Josie Bissett will be returning as a guest star, reprising her role as the complex’s resident goody-two-shoes, Jane Andrews Mancini, in the upcoming CW series update.
Smallville (The CW)
Callum Blue has joined the cast as a regular. Blue will play General Zod next season, making his first appearance in the season premiere. Supervillain General Zod from the DC Comics books was introduced in 1980 feature Superman II, where the role was played by Terence Stamp.
Supernatural (The CW)
Adrianne Palicki has signed on to reprise her role as Sam’s ill-fated ex, Jessica. As you know, Jessica was killed by a demon in the Supernatural pilot. She reappeared at the end of season 2 during Dean’s genie-granting alternate reality trip, but hasn’t been seen since. She’s booked for one episode and it’ll air early in the season.
