Michael Ausiello is reporting that Tori Spelling has finalized a deal to return to Smallville as Daily Planet’s gossip columnist Linda Lake. Her character, first introduced in a January 2007 episode, is unique among Smallville’s long line of villains in one very significant way: she knows Clark’s secret. Her one-episode Smallville return is set in stone for an early 2009 episode.
