Tom Welling directs this Smallville episode about a spooky little girl with a most unusual talent. Little Maddie Van Horn has a unique telekinetic ability that involves glass. Bounced around in foster homes, she also has a lot of pent-up anger, and when that combines with her glass-shattering skills, bad things happen. She’s not evil, as Clark finds out when he befriends her, but she’s got issues, and they’re all tied to the first meteor shower. Meanwhile, Lex and Lana start getting pretty cozy, and Chloe doesn’t like it one bit.

A drug made from green kryptonite, capable of inducing a form of temporary death, sends Lana on a morbid trip searching for her deceased parents. The effects prove to be more than she can handle, and Lex tries to intervene but only makes things worse. Meanwhile, a tip leads Clark to Honduras, where he hopes to find the mysterious Professor Fine and the black spaceship. The tip, however, comes from Lionel Luthor, whose motives are always suspect.S
