E! Renews Kendra For A Second Season

E! is picking up a second season of its breakout reality series Kendra. The network will order 12 more episodes chronicling Kendra Wilkinson’s marriage to Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hank Baskett.

The network also plans to air two specials in December, when the couple’s first child is due and Kendra moves to New Jersey to live closer to Baskett year-round.

ABC Renews Wipeout For A Third Season

ABC has renewed the obstacle-course reality show Wipeout for a third season. The network is bringing the show back for an unspecified number of episodes next summer. The production engaged in online promotion during the series, offering live factoids about the show via Twitter during each telecast and soliciting feedback from viewers that was incorporated into the show. For the third season, producers are building a new obstacle course, though a signature “big balls” element is being kept, but with a twist.

Spike TV Renews Deadliest Warrior For Second Season

Spike TV has picked up Deadliest Warrior for a second season. The show hypothetically pits famous fighters throughout history against one another. In the ratings, the show is a strong performer for Spike, averaging 1.8 million viewers. The show was also Spike’s top-selling series via download-to-own outlets such as iTunes, Xbox and PlayStation, and show-related online video hits totaled more than 6.2 million during the first season. The series’ online companion, Deadliest Warrior: The Aftermath drew 1.8 million video views from April 7-June 21.

Showtime Orders A Third Season Of Tracey Ullman

Showtime has greenlit a third season of Tracey Ullman’s State of the Union. In the half-hour comdey, Ullman portrays a variety of real-life and fictional characters, doing impersonations of celebrities such as Celine Dion, Jodie Foster and J.K. Rowling. The cable network ordered seven episodes for the new season set to premiere in 2010.

Ullman was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her work on the show last season. Ullman and Allan McKeown are executive producers. Melissa Wylie is producer.

Showtime Orders A Second Season Of Nurse Jackie

After becoming Showtime’s most-watched series premiere ever, the network has giving Nurse Jackie a second season. The show was seen by 1 million viewers, then gathered another 350,000 watchers during its same-night repeat for a total of 1.35 million viewers. That surpasses the prior same-night series premiere record holder, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, which opened to about 950,000 viewers last year. The season debut of Weeds served as lead-in, garnering a total of 1.7 million across two showings, down just a bit from last year.

Celebrity Rehab Gets Third Season With Tom Sizemore, Heidi Fleiss

Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew is coming back for a third season on VH1 in early 2010, with Tom Sizemore and Heidi Fleiss among the coming edition’s participants. Eight episodes will air during the third season of Celebrity Rehab, covering the 21-day intensive program led by Dr. Drew Pinsky. The second season, which wrapped up in December, averaged 1.3 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49.
