FX has set return dates for original hourlong dramas Nip/Tuck and Damages. Nip/Tuck will begin the first part of its sixth season on Tuesday, January 6, at 10 pm/ET, for an eight-episode run. Nip/Tuck, which stars Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon as successful plastic surgeons, resumes with Sean and Christian in L.A., and their practice faces an unexpected medical crisis. Love is also in the air, as Christian decides to settle down while Sean’s vulnerability leads him into a new relationship.
The sophomore season of the Emmy-winning series Damages returns on Wednesday, January 7 at 10 pm/ET with 13 new episodes. Damages will pick up with the turbulent life of Patty Hewes (Emmy winner Glenn Close), who after her unprecedented victory over billionaire Arthur Frobisher (Ted Danson) is pondering her next move. William Hurt joins the cast as Daniel Purcell, a man from Patty’s mysterious past who will launch her into a new legal challenge. Oh, and Patty’s protégé Ellen (Rose Byrne) is acting as an informant for the FBI to bring Patty down. Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden and Timothy Olyphant also join the cast this season.

Nip/Tuck has cast Desperate Housewives alumni Kiersten Warren says Michael Ausiello. She is set to play one of McNamara-Troy’s more memorable patients yet: A thirtysomething stripper with breasts the size of watermelons. The self-professed freak of nature – whose professional name is Jenny Juggs – also has severe anger issues.

Katee Sackhoff’s upcoming four-episode stint on Nip/Tuck is undergoing an extreme makeover. Michael Ausiello is reporting that Rose McGowan has replaced Sackhoff in the role of Theodora “Teddy” Lowe, a doctor and potential love interest for Sean. The recast comes after the news that Sackhoff has inked a deal to headline NBC’s Dick Wolf-produced cop pilot Lost and Found.
