CBS has quietly started developing a NCIS spin-off reports Michael Ausiello. Although a spokesperson for the show declined to comment, Ausiello reveals that a new crop of naval sleuths will likely be introduced in an episode of NCIS later this season and launched into their own show as early as next fall. It’s still in the early stages, and no final decisions have been made about the premise or the setting. The NCIS offshoot will likely put on hold CBS’ long-gestating Criminal Minds spin-off.
