USA Network has bought the off-network syndication to the freshman drama NCIS: Los Angeles. USA has agreed to pay CBS Television Distribution around $2.5 million per episode for the rights to NCIS: Los Angeles, which will be available in fall 2013. As part of the deal, USA will be able to start airing weekly repeats of the show’s first season starting in September 2011. The deal comes after just seven episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles have run on CBS.

Lauren Stamile (Grey’s Anatomy) is joining the show in a possibly recurring role. She has been cast as Professor Slater, a Greendale Community College statistics teacher and love interest for Jeff (Joel McHale). When Slater rejects his advances, Jeff is forced to seek out romance advice from Senor Chang (Ken Jeong) – a move sure to end in disaster, especially as Annie (Alison Brie) plans a Day of the Dead party for their Spanish class. Stamile will appear in the Halloween episode scheduled to air October 29.

CBS has handed out full season pickups to freshmane drama NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife. Both dramas have performed well for the network after three airings on Tuesdays. NCIS: Los Angeles is the most-watched new show of the fall season, averaging 17.5 million viewers and a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating. While The Good Wife ranks as the second most-watched freshman series, pulling 13.7 million viewers and a 3.0 rating.
Both shows air Tuesday nights and are produced by CBS Studios.
