James Cromwell has joined the cast of NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy. Cromwell will play the ethically challenged chief of a super-secret spy agency that is messing with the head of Edward/Henry (Christian Slater). Previously announced cast includes Alfre Woodard, Saffron Burrows and Mike O’Malley.

Madchen Amick is marrying Christian Slater for NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy says The Hollywood Reporter. Amick will play wife to Slater’s Henry, a suburban dad whose alter ego is a spy. Amick’s character is in the dark about her husband’s secret life. Amick, who will also be heating things up on Gossip Girl this season, is replacing Yara Martinez, in the second shake-up for the show in ten days. The show’s creator, Jason Smilovic, stepped away from daily operations and John Eisendrath was upped to exec producer.
