TV’s former Gilmore girl, Alexis Bledel, will return to the smaller screen as a guest star in the two-hour ER series finale, airing April 2. According to People, she’ll play a new intern named Julia Wise in the episode, which chronicles a 24-hour shift at County General. Other “names” on board for ER’s series-ending salvo include George Clooney and Julianna Margulies (reprising their roles as Doug and Carol), and Susan Sarandon (playing a patient’s grandmother), all three of whom will turn up in the March 12 episode.
