Jorja Fox Leaving CSI This Season

September 28th, 2007 | 1 Comment

In the introduction to his interview with CSI star Jorja Fox, Michael Ausiello reported that Jorja Fox will be leaving CSI in November.

How’s this for a twisty turnabout: Even though Sara Sidle survived her run-in with CSI’s Miniature Killer in last night’s gripping season premiere, her time on the show has nonetheless come to an end. Multiple sources confirm that Jorja Fox — whose contract expired at the end of last season — will depart the hit procedural this November after failing to come to terms on a new long-term deal.

In the interview with Fox, she chose not to comment on her character’s fate or about her leaving the show this season. Fox’s only comment was that the she declined the last round of raises for the cast, which means she didn’t add another year to her contract like the rest of the cast did. Her lack of comment either way makes me think that she is indeed leaving CSI at some point this season.

Jessica Lucas Investigates New Role On CSI

August 20th, 2007 | 0 Comments

Jessica Lucas is joining the cast of CBS’ CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in a recurring role says the Hollywood Reporter. She will play Veronica Lake, aka Ronnie, a young, vivacious, smart, sought-after newbie CSI in training who gets multiple job offers but chooses to go to Las Vegas because of the increase in crime rates there. Ever since the role cropped up on breakdowns around town, it prompted speculation that the character might be groomed as a replacement for Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox), who was left crushed under a car with her hand barely moving in the Season 7 finale. It is understood that Veronica is designed as a new addition to the team, not a replacement for Sara.
