Former WWE Superstar Steve “Stone Cold” Austin filmed a guest role for an episode this season. In the interview he did with the UK Sun, Austin noted he filmed an episode of the NBC comedy Chuck last week. Austin guest stars in episode 3×05, Chuck vs. First Class, playing Hugo Panzer, a master of close-quarters combat.

The show has finally cast a grandfather for David Boreanaz’s Seeley Booth. Hank Booth, a former army EMT, will be played by Ralph Waite, who played patriarch John Walton on The Waltons from 1972-81. Ralph, now 81, was cast after James Garner, also 81, proved too ill to take on the role.

Season 6 begins with House as a detoxing patient at a mental hospital. He’s being held against his will by his attending physician but concocts an escape plan, aided by his roommate, Alvie, and a visitor named Lydia.
