Brooke D’Orsay has been cast as a new regular character. D’Orsay will play a manager of a radio station owned by her father where Gary (Jay Mohr) is painting and Clean (new regular Keegan Michael Key) works.

90210 (The CW)
Jennie Garth has signed a deal to return this fall for multiple episodes. Garth reappears in the third episode when Kelly gives Harry advice on how to deal with his situation with Annie.
Additionally, John Schneider is joining the show in a recurring role. He will play Liam’s step-father, first appearing in the second episode of 90210’s new seasonl. Liam’s step-father, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, is a bit of a jerk, whom Liam does not get along with. When Liam returns after his summer stint in that “scared straight” program we saw him being hauled off to in the finale, he’ll clash with the doc was once again.

Newsok.com is reporting that Sara Sidle is coming back to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. CBS said that actress Jorja Fox, who plays Sara, will be part of the season premiere and other episodes. The show’s executive producer, Carol Mendelsohn, says viewers will find out where life has taken Sara and what brings her back to the CSI team in Las Vegas. The show returns September 24, airing at 9:00 PM/ET. Fox was a series regular since the show’s first season, left during its eighth season and was seen briefly last season, the ninth for CSI.

Former Shark actress Sarah Carter has joined CBS crime drama CSI: NY as a regular. She will play a twenty-something forensic school graduate with aspirations to be a CSI who works as a crime scene clean up technician and harbors a secret. We’ll find out later in the season that she’s hiding a secret.

The nominations in the major category were announced early Thursday morning by Parsons and Chandra Wilson of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy who were joined by the chairman of the Academy of TV Arts and Sciences John Shaffner.
Fox hit Family Guy became the first animated series in nearly 50 years, and the second ever, to land a best comedy series nomination, following The Flintstones in 1961.
Seven half-hours made it in to the best comedy series category, with two more first-timers, HBO’s offbeat The Flight of the Conchords, CBS’ often overlooked How I Met Your Mother and Showtime’s veteran Weeds. They will compete against defending champ 30 Rock, previous winner The Office and HBO’s Entourage.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC)
Martha Plimpton has signed on for a multi-episode. Starting with the season premiere, Plimpton will appear as the mother of a young patient.
Additionally, Mitch Pileggi, who first guest-starred on the ABC drama toward the end of Season 3, will return for the two-hour Season 6 premiere, again playing hospital board chairman Larry Jennings.
