Better Off Ted (ABC)
Eddie McClintock has signed on for a guest role. He will play Ted’s brother, Billy. A fast-talking salesman type, Billy brings chaos into Ted’s life and proves to be a bad influence on Lem and Phil. He is shooting the episode this week.

Jason Lee has signed on to star in Delta Blues, a new pilot for TNT. Jason Lee, who starred for four seasons in the critically acclaimed comedy My Name Is Earl, has been cast in the lead role. He will play Dwight Hendricks, a Memphis police officer who lives with his mother and moonlights as an Elvis impersonator.
From George Clooney and Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures and Warner Horizon Television, Delta Blues will be directed by Clark Johnson (The Shield) from a script by Liz M. Garcia and actor Joshua Harto. Clooney, Heslov and Garcia serve as executive producers. Henry Bronchtein and Smokehouse’s Abby Wolf-Weiss are co-executive producers, and Harto is a producer. Johnson will also receive an executive-producer credit for the pilot.

Orlando Jones has joined the show in a guest role. He will play Foreman’s brother, Marcus. Little is know about Marcus except that he, like Foreman, had a troubled childhood and is currently serving a jail sentence for drugs. Jones’ episode, which has already been shot and is scheduled to air in February, finds the brothers reconnecting on the eve of Marcus’ parole hearing. House gets involved and his meddling leads to a big development.

Justin Theroux is joining the show in a major recurring role. Theroux has been cast as a friend of Ann’s (Rashida Jones) and a potential love interest for Leslie (Amy Poehler). His first episode is scheduled to air in January 2010.
In that same episode, Amy Poehler’s husband, the hilarious Will Arnett, is coming to Parks and Recreation this season. He will play an MRI Tech, which means that either someone is headed for the hospital, or he will have scenes with Ann who works there as a nurse. Arnet will scheduled to appear in one episode.

Better Off Ted (ABC)
Taye Diggs has signed on for a guest role in the second season premiere. In the December 8 opener, Veridian encourages its staff to date coworkers who are their perfect genetic match – as a means to possibly save money on health insurance down the road. The DNA of Diggs’ character, Greg, determines him to be the one for Linda. Ted meanwhile is led to dip his toe back into the office dating pool with guest star Virginia Williams.
