SciFi Channel has announced that Battlestar Galactica returns at 10 p.m. ET/PT on January 16, 2009, with the remaining episodes of its fourth and final season. The 10-week run will culminate with the series finale on March 20. The new episodes pick up from last June’s cliffhanger, in which the Colonial fleet, led by Admiral Adama (Edward James Olmos) and the Galactica crew, and their new Cylon allies arrive on Earth only to find it a barren nuclear wasteland.

Is Earth The Cylons Home Planet

September 25th, 2008 | 0 Comments

Earth is the Cylons home planet? That’s what was revealed at the end of 4.10 (the series’ mid-season finale, which hit SciFi June 13) and what was shot for 4.11, which hits SciFi in January, according to Aaron Douglas. Douglas, who plays Cylon Galen Tyrol on Battlestar Galactica, revealed this huge spoiler in an interview with Cort and Fatboy on KUFO-FM.

Q. Tell me this. Do we ever get to see the Cylon homeworld?

AARON DOUGLAS: You did at the end of the middle of season four.

Q. (pause) Wow! Really? You’re saying Earth is the Cylon homeworld?

AD: Earth, in the scriptures, is the Cylon homeworld. Yeah, they say they found evidence, they found other people, and they’re all Cylon. Or they found bones and stuff, scattered all around, and they’re Cylon.

Q. Wow!

AD: Did you not listen to that – did you not watch that?

Q. That was not made clear! Yeah, I missed that! Yeah! I saw everybody standing around …

AD: Watch the last 10 minutes. They say, when they’re digging in the, all that kind of stuff.

Q. The last thing they showed was everybody looking pissed because everything looks destroyed. I didn’t get that they were pissed because everything was Cylon. Everything was destroyed because there was like a Cylon civil war that caused them to go forth and …

AD: Tune in and watch.

It seems Douglas gave away the big reveal slated for the premiere of the final ten episodes of Battlestar Galactica. The mid-season finale ended with the crew on Earth which was in a state of ruin. There was no digging or discoveries. This is either a giant red herring or Douglas didn’t realize what scenes filmed on “Earth” were going to be split into the mid-season finale and premiere of the final ten episodes of the show.

Esai Morales Cast As Lead In Galactica Spinoff Caprica

May 7th, 2008 | 0 Comments

Esai Morales has joined Sci Fi Channel’s Battlestar Galactica prequel pilot Caprica cast in the role of Joseph Adama, a Caprican lawyer and the father of Commander William Adama. The Hollywood Reporter describes Joseph as a deeply passionate man with a strong sense of justice – and someone you wouldn’t want as your enemy. This casting comes after the recent announcement that Deadwood’s Paula Malcolmson had landed the role of Amanda Greystone, a surgeon who goes to extraordinary lengths to help her husband revive her dead 16-year-old daughter via robotics. Amanda is the mother of Zoe Graystone, whose likeness and personality are utilized to create the first Cylon.
