Lifetime Announces 2009 Summer Preimere Dates

Lifetime has announced that Project Runway will premiere on their channel August 30. Project Runway, which moves to Lifetime following a legal fight between producer Weinstein Company and its former cable home, Bravo, will have a 14-episode run in the Thursday 10 pm time slot.

Lifetime also announced that Drop Dead Diva, starring Brooke Elliott and Margaret Cho, will have its series premiere July 12. The third season of Army Wives premieres June 7.

Lifetime Renews Army Wives For Fourth Season

Lifetime has renewed its signature drama Army Wives for a fourth season. The 18-episode fourth season is slated for a 2010 launch. The pickup comes four months ahead of the third season premiere of Army Wives in June, when it will return to its regular Sunday 10 pm time slot. Army Wives is Lifetime’s highest rated series ever and cable’s top drama series among women 18-49.

Army Wives follows the struggles, dreams and friendships of a diverse group of women – and one man – living with their spouses and families on an active army post. The series, which is filming its third season in Charleston, South Carolina, stars Kim Delaney, Sally Pressman, Brigid Brannagh, Brian McNamara, Sterling K. Brown, Wendy Davis, Drew Fuller, Terry Serpico and Catherine Bell. Katelyn Pippy, has also been upped to series regular.
