Fox unveiled its new schedule Monday highlighted by summer reality hit So You Think You Can Dance jumping into the fall and J.J. Abrams’ Fringe challenging TV’s biggest shows on Thursday night. So You Think You Can Dance will air on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, just as American Idol does during the spring. Fox will use the show’s Wednesday results show to lead into its musical dramedy Glee. Fringe will move from Tuesdays this season to Thursdays at 9 pm, going against ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, NBC’s The Office and CBS’ CSI.
The network’s top-rated scripted show House will remain on Mondays at 8 pm, followed by the second season of Lie to Me. The decision restores a strong lead in to Lie To Me, which saw its ratings drop following a shift to 8 pm on Wednesdays earlier this year. Dollhouse returns on Fridays, but with a modest lead in from new comedy Brothers and Til Death that seem unlikely to reverse its ratings struggles. The Cleveland Show will go into 8:30 pm Sunday nights. Wanda Sykes new talk show is planned for 11 pm Saturday nights.
