Spike TV has acquired the rights to air HBO’s acclaimed minseries Band of Brothers. The cable network will run the 10-part World War II drama in the third quarter of this year. The acquisition is part of Spike’s effort to promote complimentary military efforts True Dads: In Uniform and the UFC Fight for the Troops.

“Spike TV is proud to be the new television home to this truly classic miniseries that eloquently captures the trials and tribulations of the brave American soldiers of Easy Company in World War II,” said John Griffin, at Spike TV.

The Emmy-winning Band Brothers has aired on basic cable before, most recently on the History Channel.
