After becoming Showtime’s most-watched series premiere ever, the network has giving Nurse Jackie a second season. The show was seen by 1 million viewers, then gathered another 350,000 watchers during its same-night repeat for a total of 1.35 million viewers. That surpasses the prior same-night series premiere record holder, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, which opened to about 950,000 viewers last year. The season debut of Weeds served as lead-in, garnering a total of 1.7 million across two showings, down just a bit from last year.
