SciFi Previews New Seasons Of Ghost Hunters And Truth
By Editor on August 29th, 2008SCI FI Channel has released details about the upcoming season premieres of Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth, which return with all-new episodes beginning September 3.
The first investigation of the new season will find the Ghost Hunters heading to Buffalo to hunt for spirits at “Iron Island,” a former funeral home and church. When the local preservation society took over this property in 2000, they discovered over 30 boxes of unclaimed human remains tucked away in the basement bathroom. Renovations unearthed remnants of the Episcopal church–light fixtures and stained glass that were hidden behind the walls and ceilings as if the original funeral director built a building within a building. Now the building has become a small museum that honors the legacy of the town, and workers and vistors alike have experienced countless paranormal experiences.
The season premiere of Destination Truth will explore a pair of exotic legends in Australia and Malaysia. In the Australian wilderness of Queensland, an unidentified being known as the Yowie creeps around. This bizarre, hybrid beast resembles a cross between a human and ape, and it said to emerge at night looking to eat whatever it can find. Josh and his team will also travel to Kuala Lumpur to investigate the case of an abandoned mosque in the jungles on the Malaysian peninsula. This haunted ruin is reported to be the home of an evil spirit. Villagers in the surrounding region, as well as a powerful Imam, refuse to approach the Mosque after sundown.
Ghost Hunters airs on Wednesdays on SCI FI at 9:00 p.m. PT/ET, followed by Destination Truth at 10 p.m. PT/ET.
